ok, got it and have seen the pictures....... so similar but not the same as my Continental. .......yours has a lot less work required. All the quality of the woodwork, the fittings are the same, the layout is totally different but I love it! We are missing....fridge.....was that an ice box in yours? The stove is missing too, but I will make something fit. The bathroom on ours is the same layout but in poorer condition....the sink is broken. All of the upholstery will have to be replaced, and I noticed all the light fittings are the same. I will be working on the Carlight in "the near future". It has inspired me.......wished mine was as good! Regards Humpty.

Thanks everybody for all off the compliments on my carlight! I will keep you all informed about this project on this forum!
I actually bought this caravan 1 week ago form a 75 year old man who had it in posses for 10 years and had it imported forn the uk! When i picked it up form rotterdam to my place, we first had to take out a lot of privat stuff, he actually went every year from holland to portugal( 2000km) and stayed there in the summer and went back in the fall! I still have a very good contact with him so i will try to track down the history of this van!
I payed a 1250 euro for it so i dont think thats to much! The restauration cost will be higher i suppose! I did not find any mayor leakage yet but that maybe come. i saw the pictures of humpty and that scared me off.
If you( all readers) are able to visit holland in the future, you are invited, i have a small holiday resort in the green heart of the country.( http://www.lorkenbos.nl) But i dont think you take your vans with you!
There was a refrigator in the van but i removed it because it didn fit properly and i did not like the look of it!
good luck everybody,
elot64

Maybe it has been posted before but i could not reject this movie! Caravan Man is a short quirky character portrait featuring Philip Dod, a ninety two year old retired electrical engineer and avid collector of old machinery. Philips barns contain a rambling and eclectic collection of machinery in various states of repair; he is particularly fond of Atco mowing machines and has over fifteen of them. However the film mainly focuses on Philips collection of Winchester Caravans. current.com/items/77319511_caravan_mangreetings from holland

After a year of no posting im back! Tha carligth has been sold lately and the latest news i heard is has gone to sweden where it will be fully restored. I was to busy to work at the interior of the carligth, everything had to be stripped and painted again. But after a while i had found myself a carlight continental here in holland. Its a carligth from 1960 and its only used from 1960 until 1965. After then is has been stored away. Its a living time capsule, as you can see on: www.flickr.com/photos/elot64/sets/72157619187370666/show/with/3592251922/ Let me know what you think of this? greetings erik lenderink
