Thanks Reddo, Sutcac & Cruisindoug for posting such great photos and stories of this fantastic run! Thanks to all for making it such a great run as well. I’m sure Toads n Roaches tour will happen again…it’s a great little area to explore with “sociable people who have common interests”, as the tour books may describe us. The Jaybago people retreated to their homes away from home to watch tele while we sat around the fire, laughed, ate brilliant food & had a great time! Hey Stace, I think we really nailed it babe! Bring on the next Tour! Meanwhile here’s a few photos to add to the others. I haven’t been able to load photos since the new P/bucket…it keeps crashing whenever I open it, but I’ve changed from Safari to Firefox & it works well now. Café interiors at Bingara, next door to the Roxy Theatre Café at Pillaga…notice it was newsagent, takeaway food & clothing but still couldn’t make a go of it! But great sunsets are a consolation smiles

great stories and pics guys ........and a top effort from reddo for organising such an event. Without the motivation of reddo in NSW, and firefighter in Vic, these two recent tours wouldn't have happened ......well done guys the photo the Sutcacs and John and Pam working on a huge pot of Pea and Ham soup reminded me of a cold wet miserable day in Cowra last year back at camp whilst the tourists were out during the day, I was chilled to the bone, just couldn't get warm and Brian (noblesgarage) rocks up to the door of my van with a mug of delicious hot pea and ham soup ..........exactly what I needed at that moment ….......and it was thanks to Barb who was making soup in the camp kitchen Mark

Hi All.... and thanks to Doug, Smiles, and the Sutcacs for adding to / filling in some of the gaps on my take on the Toads and Roaches Tour.... Would just like to clarify that the whole idea of an "Interstate tour" was that of our tourmaster... Clyde. He done all the ground work on distances and initial contact with the van parks. Securing cheap overnight rates and ensuring the managers where well oiled on the idea of having all the V.Vs in one group in the parks.... TOP JOB mate. A few minor tweaks along the way ensured every overnight stay was a winner. Again a big THANK YOU to the Sutcacs and others for all the effort that went into preparing those great camp oven meals... and yes Marl... The Pea and Ham soups are a meal on their own and a lifesaver on a cold morning or evening. As most of you are aware Clyde and I have an ongoing interest in the state of origin rugby league each year.. NSW v QLD. History has it that I... ( Roach) have been on the losing end of these encounters for the last 7 years... ... I had recently squared up my loses/debt with Clyde and was gracious in defeat....Don't like owing money or favours to anyone.... So... what does Clyde and Barb do??... They bring along on the tour 2 dirty great Barramundi fillets for me ... There is just no getting square with this crew.. again I say ... Thanks heaps guys ;D Smiles....Good luck with the old van rescue . we look forward to a few pix. Doug... That axle coming out is scarey stuff. Hope all is fixed soon. Dennis and Sue... Catch up again at Kendalls in September. Breno and Stacey.....Are you still considering selling Bauxite to fund a Fobbergross purchase.?? To all the tourists Catch up again same time next year. Regards Reddo It can be difficult to please all of the travellers all of the time...distance travelled each day...condition or the total lack of amenities like camp kitchens etc . But after free camping in the scrub overnight a hot shower and a clean dunny at a van park is often welcomed.
