Looks like i will be getting away from the Anzac Day service by about 10 ish.. will gather up John and Pam at Muswellbrook a bit over 2 hours later. Then just eat a few miles up for the arvo run.. sorta thinking about swinging into Bendemeer for the night. Nice old pub .. few "Knock out sherbets" ta help with the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzs. They have a great continental breakfast from around 7.30am. might see if we can mingle with the paying guests and get a hand out before we venture up to Tenterfield. Been head down .. bum up working on the panelvan and TD..... .. Have run out of time and energy... Looking forward to the break away from work and .. the shed.... Gunna enjoy just sucking up that country air...mild days.... and freezin me tits off at night. Oh Yeah.. have been practising up on the damper cookin.. ;D..made the mistake of cooking it in the camp oven down the shed.. left it alone for half an hour... came back and the lid had pushed 3 sheets of corrigated iron off the roof of the shed.. ....See yas soon... Never been to either of them, just picked some dots on a map .... At this stage I am aiming to be in Bell Monday and Tuesday nights, and Lake Coolmunda Wednesday and Thursday nights (should be an ANZAC day service in Inglewood I expect), if anyone wants to join me on the "warm up tour" ;D ;D ;D . "Found" an extra few days off ;D ;D ;D See you all there. Cheers Doug P.S. Hope Barb has made you see the error of your ways Clyde, we need someone to pour the Cowboys!

Hello all,
Well we are really counting the days now, vans nearly packed and Brendo cant wait to get on the road and try all the pie shops along the way. See, he has a new book 'THE PIE BUYER'S GUIDE TO AUSTRALIA' all he needs now is the BEER guide to go with it, not that he needs much help in that department. looking forward to catching up with all.
Cheers .......Brendo & Stace

Hiya Sutcacs.. Naaaa mate.. those big pink jobbies got in my way.....so... they went off with a bang i will be freezin these pair off instead........... Brendo and Stace.... Happy to help out on the tour with " research" into Pies and Beer. .... will be interesting to see which creature is the most resilient to the effects of those delicacies... The common Toad... or the Feral Roach..... i can name a few places where the roaches have actually taken up residency in the pie...... Rumour has it that the "liquid by-product" from Toads is actually use to make a well known Queensland beer? ........... XXXX Reddo

Hi Cath. Yep, Quirindi all sorted for the Friday night. Eight of us there . All booked in. Karen has another Caravan Group of 12 that wants to stay too. But we booked first so we get first chop at the sites. She's going to do her best to keep us all together. Only a week to go!!! Hey Trace.......Brendo has now been appointed the chief Pie snifferouterer on tour!!!!!

Not sure if anyone is still chasing a powered site at Nundle?? But.. The bloke from the bike club that was suppose to be going up there / taking my bike/ camping near the camp kitchen , pulled the pin on going to the rally a few weeks back. I mentioned to him about cancelling his booking... He had clean forgot about it and said that he was going to sort it out by today.... So.. if anyonethat is heading to Nundle Friday and wants a prime site near the kitchen and campfire pit, it might be worth a call to Nundle van park and see if you can get on his site....mates name is "Garry Odgers" . might be worth name dropping to jog the park managers memory... I think he said site 55.. or around that area . Cheers fa now. Reddo

Hi all you Toads and Roaches... Thought just came to mind.. worth mentioniong here...instead of me forgetting to tell ya before i head off to Nundle on the Friday.
NO FUEL IN NUNDLE.
Depending on which way you come over on the saturday there is fuel at Willowtree Roadhouse. If you cut across to Wallabadah and come out next to the pub. There is a servo about 1K south of town at the end of the long straight. You would have to head south ( turn left) to get there. If you are heading up through Tamworth there is plenty of fuel until you turn off the Hwy at Nemangai. Then nothing much between there and Nundle. Woolamin has fuel. but only 95.
So.. if you plan on doing a bit of sight seeing thn make sure you top up before heading east of the highway.
Cheers Reddo
