G'day All, I have "deputised" a number of relatives/friends to keep an eye out for anything old and interesting that can be used in my project van. My latest request is for old second hand oregon timber that I can cut up and use in the framework in the van. If they see any, they have been asked to grab it, or at least ring me and let me know where it is. My brother was visiting his daughter on the weekend, and the people next door were having a clean-up. In the pile of stuff on the footpath, my brother noticed a couple of really old bed frames, the type that have the old wire mesh base for the mattress. He grabbed them for me, and now I have another good stash of oregon timber to cut up... "Big deal! ", you say... And I agree, because what I really wanted to talk about here was what he found in one of the old bedheads... cheers, Al.

Ok humpty, mum's the word on oregon sources... My brother has repaired the light, right where the crack is. It was in two pieces when he removed it from the bedhead. The brother has a hobby building remote controlled car and aeroplane kits for a local Hobby Shop, so he's got the good plastic glue that should hold it together for a few more years. And yep, the light globe still works. cheers, Al.
