Hello Jennison Think you've done a marvellous job of organising the event and we're very grateful for your efforts! Nothing to be done about the changes to Frankie's program and we're sure everyone will understand that these things just happen sometimes. Looking forward to meeting everyone and lots of talk about VVs. With kind regards Paul and Liesl

Thanks, Jenno, but no thanks. Desperately trying to confine the obsession to vv's only. Like the idea of a HR wagon, though, two tone, premier would be nice.............

Let.s not think about missing Bathurst, but i am perpared to make sacrafices. yep - this will be the first bathurst i've missed since 1969. i can't believe i'm missing it just for a bunch of good friends, an fj holden concert, some pizza and a fantastic weekend away (not to mention a beer or two). i must be getting old. geoff ('n jude) ps - it's also the first time i've owned a h-h-h-h-h-h-holden while bathurst was on. (bloody windy days) from this: to this: pps - i'll still be waving the blue flag on the inside.

Just a reminder, while not always possible for lots of reasons, if you do have an old towcar and it's possible to bring it, it would be good....picture says a thousand words and all that.
jenno PS....currently 28 VVs, 2 moderns and 3 to 4 cabins booked

Indeed ...I have 46 adults and 3 kids down for the car club visit and mornos on saturday. For any who haven't committed yet but would like to, I will be emailing the club with the final numbers tomorrow night, so still time to get on the list. The club have asked can I collect the $5 per person for the mornos and pay as a group instead of them chasing people around their clubhouse on the day to see if they are part of our group or not. They will be expecting us at around 10 to 10.15am. I will have my list with me fri nite/sat morning so catch up with me then please regards jenno

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Ok You lot.... I have been accused at variuos stages of my time here on the forum of being "Narrow minded".. Comments like... Reddo is so narrow minded he can see through a keyhole with both eyes at the same time.... Well Kiddies i am here to redeem myself... Been thinking about the lack of mention on any of the threads related to .. Tathra/East coast tour .. and Coledale in relation to a "fund raiser"... Geoff and Jude eluded to the possibility of another charity auction at Coledale this year... but seeing as though we are scattered to the four winds this year with some people attending Tathra and not coledale and coledale and not Tahtra... and the Tathra and the Tour but not Coledale...... Geez... wooooa up .. i am getting dizzy here.. So.... I figured i might take up the reins and gallop with the following idea... As already mentioned here on the Tathra thread there is going to be some light hearted banter in the supa-camp kitchen on "Race Day"... lotsa Holden fans .. lotsa Ford fans With that in mind i have splashed out and spent around $160.00 on Bathurst regallia and supplemented that with a few goodies that ya can use on your towcar. Idea being to run a raffle right up until the end of the race on sunday then draw it... anything we make over what it costs me gets handed to Geoff and Jude as a kick in the coffers for who ever we decide to nominate as this years charity..( cancer foundation) .. Either the Nuts mob .. or the tittys mob as an incentive to buy tickets i will write your choice "H"or "F"on the stubbs to go in the draw barrel. After the raffle we will tally up the Ford V holden score.. the winning brand of car...Not in the race.. in the raffle totals... will go back in the draw barrel /hat/ box or bucket ( whatever) and the winning name gets a cash prize of $20... So.... .. How am i doing so far Sopund like a winner or what. Heres a peek of what i have bought today.... 2 X Bar runners.. one with the iconic Monaro One with the legendary Ho Falcon A Castrol 50th Anniversary 5 litre Collector tin 10W40 oil for modern motors... A Bathurst "Mountain Gear "Hat A Fire extinguisher and... For those that want to feel as though you are picnicing at Mt Panorama...... a 1500mm X 1500 mm Bathurst 1000 track rug... Man.. if that aint enough to get you ford and holden freaks excited i dunno what i am gunna do... As always, if ya feel ya wanna donate something to the raffle by all means , do so. Cheers Official Tathra raffle dogsbody. Reddo

hi reddo you're right reddo, there's no charity auction at coledale this year because of the reasons you mentioned, so that sounds like a plan. put jude and me down as pledging for maybe buying one ticket between us if we bring the continental and somewhere between 150 and 200 tickets if we bring the h-h-h-h-holden ;D ;D ;D (cost of fuel you know). don't forget to put an "f" on the ticket(s) though. see ya there. geoff 'n jude

;D Was gunna knock off at 10.00am today Thursday.... but what was the point of going to work for 4 hours..?? So...8.00am today... Van is packed, polished and hitched up to the HR ute... Was loosing brake fluid out of the master during the week.. went around all the brakes.. no sign of a leak. Ended up finding a leaking/perished brake hose that goes from the body down to the brass block on top of the diff last night about 8 oclock. I had 7 old hoses...... and 1 new one. Jobs done... Shudder to think what might have happened going down to Kangaroo valley from Bowral later today. I have thrown in a box of around 300 new old stock 6V and 12 V old style auto bulbs ( nearly as many beers as i have packed ) . Varying sizes and wattages still in original 1950s and 60s boxes. . So if anyone is in need of some for their old cars , come and see me at Tathra or Coledale.... They aint cheap though .... ;D Should rock up to Tathra just after lunch tomorrow. Wishing everyone travelling over the next few weeks a safe and trouble free journey .. See ya somewhere along the trails. Regards Reddo

hello all - I was looking so forward to being with you all in Tathra but due to unforeseen circumstances, Airstream 624 will not be able to join you for the weekend of fivrolity! However - can I invite you all to morning tea in Batemans Bay? As you all head up the coast you can turn down Cranbrook Road and line the street with your vintage vans! and see our retro Airstreams. I will give details to Jeff and see if it will help with the recovery after Bathurst! Speaking of Bathurst - Airstream 762 will be on Pit Lane with journo interviewing drivers - keep an eye out for it. I am hoping to see you all soon one place or another! Ruby

Great time guys.
Drove over on Wednesday, top weather for a look around on Thursday.
Late Thursday the first of the others started arriving. Friday saw more vans and the bad weather coming in.
Friday night was great, made the 12 hour drive worth every minute.
Saturday went from damp to downright soaked. Enjoyed the Sapphire Coast Vehicle Club run, even without the headlights. We were enjoying ourselves so much we decided to stay the extra day. Pizzas were tops.
Long drive home on Sunday. Missed both Cora Lynn and Bathurst but made it home safe despite some fairly average weather while driving through the mountains to Lakes Entrance.
Thanks to Geoff and all concerned.
Leigh & Karon.
