I have borrowed this picture. I have been here numerous times with Hubby and its one of his favourite places to go, but never actually took a photo...... we will next time. Anyway- where is it AND why is it significant. what was the legacy left behind? Good luck

Sorry for the delay- sick children have kept me snowed under.
Righto this one is hot off the press today and felt it is worth it, considering the significance of today.
The only clue i will give is that its part of a War Memorial.
The Ode They shall grow not old, As we that are left grow old, Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, And in the morning We will remember them.
LEST WE FORGET........

Wow, we have a result at last and to be honest i'm glad it took a little more than 24hrs for it to be solved, unlike my last outing. The Answer it Hamley Bridge SA, the town next to mine. they have two bridges. This bridge in particular had both the Adelaide to Terrowie & Peterbough line AND the Adelaide to hamley Bridge, OWEN & Balaklava line. In my 22 years at Owen i have only known it to run grain trains to balaklava at harvest time, but that all ended 4-5 years ago. large road movements are the prefered transport now. If you google sa railway bridges, it will bring up the hamley bridge web page with the following picture - almost a dead ringer for mine. I reckon Sheppo is the winner as he actually correctly named HAMLEY BRIDGE first, unless others think otherwise??

G'day Cobber, i googled cj dennis and looking at his wikipedia page, its not that far north. there is a a possibility that he may have passed through this town, but cant find anything to confirm either way on my quick search. Harriet, your getting very close. Although the rail bridge at Balaklava is quite lovely ( and is photographed extensively - almost a prerequisite as a photography student at high school back in the say) it is not that bridge, but your on the right track Happy searching. your all getting warmer
