MERCHANDISE & BOOKING FOR ACTIVITIES
It’s now only 4 weeks to the official start of the Nationals! A few people have enquired about their sites and payment balances. Top of the Town Tourist Park informs us they are sending out requests for full payment after Easter (which is the Park’s busiest time of the year), along with site numbers based on your Group preferences and size of van. New on the Vintage Caravan Nationals site is the order form for purchase of pennants, mugs and extra window stickers (one sticker is included in your Info Pack). These items will be only available for collection at the NATS. They will not be posted out. On the same form, you can express interest and/or book and pay for the main NATS events. Some events such as the Nationals Dinner have limited numbers for 200 so first preference will be given to those who have paid the Entry Fee. Please book for events and pay for merchandise before 13 April 2024. Go to: vintagecaravannationals.com.au/merchandise-and-bookings/So just a reminder… If you haven’t registered and paid the $15 Entry Fee for the Vintage Van NATIONALS 2024, please register and pay online at: vintagecaravannationals.com.au/nats24-entry-form/We will have the online Program of Events regularly updated so everyone can keep up with events by email, as they are changed or added to. We will have free afternoon talks, games and more. See: vintagecaravannationals.com.au/program/ To make sure no-one is left out as we plan the program of events for the week, we will need your details so please provide these as you register. For those people who are not tech savvy, we will have an Info Picnic Table near sites 16 & 17 opposite the Main Amenities Block with daily White Board schedules. This is the first year that we have charged an Entry Fee. This is used to subsidise some events; for stationery and paper programs; to host the website; and to kickstart the next NATS in 2026. Don't forget, If you can't make it to the NATS for any reason, the entry fee is fully refundable. If you have already paid your Entry Fee, thank you and we will see you at NATS24! If you have friends attending the Nationals, please make sure they have officially registered for the event and that they know about the Bookings and Memorabilia procedures.

Rang caravan park to pay $50 deposit for the nationals and told they would prefer me to do it next year as they were really busy They asked me why was I doing it now and told them it was in email to pay deposit within 4 week's so Lets hope they have a spot for me cheers Chris Hi Aussieute, I realize you have a very long van so I’m hoping you let the Park know the length of your van when you emailed them your booking? I’d suggest you email the Park & tell them about your van & that you want to be with Jennison Group? The Manager told me a couple of weeks ago that she’s not worried about deposits or full payments until early next year. She said if people have received a return email from the Park, then “they’re booked in”! If it’s any consolation, I was the first booking at Park & still haven’t got my email. Cheers smiles

Dosse. How did you get a site number? I've paid my deposit and received the booking number but no site number. Organizers & early comers were given site numbers but after a great lot of interest, the Park Manager decided to allocate sites after the majority of sites are booked. I encourage people to form informal Groups & let Park know you’re with a particular group. Makes easier for the Manager to allocate sites too.

Yes, the Top of the Town wants people to email the Park at info@topoftown.com.au with following details: - How Many Sites to be booked (if more than 1, then the following info for each site).
- Booking Name:
- Address:
- Phone:
- Number of People on site:
- Arrival Date:
- Departure Date:
- Length of Van:
They will get back to you asap as like lots of rural locations, they are understaffed in the office. My suggestion is if you want a particular site, get an informal Group together & call it the ‘Melbourne Group’, then email the Manager asking for sites A-J for Melbourne Group with identifying emails…,…, …. Hope that helps!

Hello all
We have spare: a couple of cream enamel gas Falks stoves & also a black speckled enamel pump up Kero pressure stove.
If there’s anyone who’d like them, we’ll bring them to the Nats. I’ll put some pics up soon.

Hello all,
Sites might be getting scarce now, so just letting latecomers know that our seaside site is now available. We have had to cancel due to Rob having chemo treatments. We will think of you all fondly, wish you have a really great time and we hope to meet up again at the next NATS.

Ps and hope the weather is kind to you all.

Hello again
Reflections Parks will be giving a credit to anyone who has paid a deposit or the amount in full, to be used at any Reflections Park in the next 12 months. If you decide to use your credit at a park other than Evans Head, tell them at this Park when you are booking so the Park can contact Evans Head & transfer credit across.
Good news is that although many sites at Evans Head are being converted into parkland, the sites along the Creek near the Kiosk will be developed to include sullage trenches & made bigger. So that’s great news that those sites won’t be lost.
Obviously for now with the COVID19 situation, there’s no use in making a date for a future event, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that things will improve so we can happily caravan again. Stay safe everyone!

Huge thank you to all the organizers for the 2020 Nats! The great program shows the amount of work & planning you have put in.
So I’m very sorry to say that Rob & I will most likely cancel our booking if the 2020 Nats go ahead or postpone our booking if Nats are re-scheduled to 2021 at Victor Harbor. Reason being I don’t think we could be self sufficient for a months return travel to SA, plus the huge stress. With the peak of COVID19 expected to be May, June we don’t want to take the chance of getting the virus.
Thanks all Cathie & Rob

Hello everyone
Well I definitely think this event is doomed! Fires, flood, now the plague!
For anyone who has booked for this event & paid a deposit, you should have received an email from Reflections Parks re a refund.
I’ve emailed the Manager about giving a refund to all who have booked under the Vintage Van group. Seems like best option to cancel until we are sure we can happily relax in our vans again without fear of infection and/or death.
Please let me know in this thread or by DM if you are having trouble getting a refund. Look on the bright side...more time for those van Reno’s! Cheers Cathie

Hi all,
Hey, look everyone else is blaming the BOM for all bad weather, so I might too! From BOM it looks like tail end of Cyclone Uesi might just lash around & dump a heap of rain on Evans Head on Friday.
So I’ve contacted C Park & cancelled event for this weekend.
C Park is reserving a block of sites together for us for
27-29 MARCH.
We can work it out when we get there what sites we want but so far plenty of free sites are together in rows starting with 694 & 731. Sites 650,652,654, 656 in front of toilets near kiosk are also free but away from the Group. Let us know if you’re coming out to dinner at the Surf Club on Sat nite. Jean needs a head count for the booking.
It'll probably fine up now!!!

Hello all Hope everyone had a great Xmas! Happy New Year, let’s hope 2020 is loads better than 2019! As you probably recall, the Evans Head Xmas event in Nov had to be cancelled due to the large super fire close by. We’ve had a few events here at Evans Head Over the years, as it’s a great spot right on the edge of the gorgeous clear river, dog friendly & walking distance to shop & pub. So we are re-scheduling the event but this will be the last one here. That’s because the area we camp in is Crown Reserve & it will be returned to parkland (with no more camping) after Easter 2020. The new dates are 14-16 FEBRUARY 2020 Phone up & say you are with Vintage Vanners (Cathie or Jean). Free bbq on Friday night Dinner at Surf Club on Sat night. Let us know numbers for this please! Hello Everyone
We have decided to cancel the Event at Evans Head for this weekend.
A section of Evans Head (where older people live in relocateable homes) is being evacuated at the moment & Park Management have sent messages to all guests alerting them to the possibility of imminent evacuation.
As you probably are aware there is a large fire burning in 105, 000ha at Bora Ridge, New Italy, Bungawalbin & it’s classed as ‘out of control’.
We will reschedule the Event for Feb when hopefully the weather improves. Can people please phone the Park direct on 02 6682 4212 & confirm that you are cancelling your booking. Mention that you are with the Vintage Vanners. The Park will put your deposit into a credit account for you. Sorry I can’t do this for you but I don’t have surnames/contact details for people attending the Event. If you don’t phone Park yourself, you will lose your deposit.
Better to be safe than sorry!

See you at the BBQ on the river foreshore about 5.30 onwards.

Hi Chris & Cobber
We’ve been cleaning up old dairy & bales on farm while Rob recovers from his torn Achilles’ tendon. Dairy was lined with Masonite in 1950’s-60’s most likely. Noticed on the back of sheet that fell off wall it was called Burnie Board & had some directions on it. Will check out when next at dairy.

Hi Chris
Congrats on being new owner of the 38 Jennison poptop. We look forward to following your Restoration.
Before we sent van into Mark & Cobber, I took photos of the lovely curtain fabric, intending to have it copied in that website in the States. Real classic 30’s-40’s calico print fabric.
