if you also get stainless pistons as well the whole set up will last many years ,alloy pistons can corrode and swell ,

Hi . several years ago friends of mine dragged a Sunliner out of a paddock , cost a few hundred dollars , they worked on it for a year . and i purchased it from them $4500 . turned out to be a good deal as in my opinion it now would sell for $10,000 in a very short time . and some are on the market for over $20,000 . i think that the market has stabilized and the time of finding Sunliners in Paddocks for a few hundred is very unlikely .But if you can wait you never know what will turn up . If the seller does not know what to ask and you do not know what to offer it can be difficult . good luck ,cheers kel.

if it has 2 elements ..one for 240v and a smaller one for 12 v . the 12 volts operation is not so good , it is a struggle for items in the fridge to cool , . 240 works much better , I had a similar van back in the day and was told not to run the fridge on Gas while it is being towed . Gas operation was also quite good when parked up . but van had to be parked level .

keep an eye on it when you turn the fridge on , there could be dust or other crap in the back of the fridge that might get hot . although it looks that clean there probably is nothing back there that will cause any issues . what a great find , that looks fantastic . good luck . cheers kel.

Those tail and indicator rear lights are actually Land Rover , and are available aftermarket or genuine . they were also fitted to AC Shelby Cobras and replicas . ( which is what i had them on ) so must still be available

I think the ad said 1958 , which i know it way to early for a Kennedy , but i like the shape and i have 4 tow cars so why not have more than one V/V , i believe Mr Kennedy ( after he got the gear to make them )only made one or two a year for about 10 years , can any one tell me if that is correct .
cheers kel.

Hi Sherie. Thanks for listing the item number for the van . the women that won it on ebay also thought that the van was in Glen Waverly . so she pulled out of the sale , which let me make an offer and win the van , thanks , ( i live in Cairns only 350 klm from the van in Townsville )

At the risk of getting howled down, I don't think visitors to this site will appreciate the picture. I am not enjoying seeing it everytime I log on either. I agree ,but might be funny if you know the characters ,

I usually stay out of conflict . but , i enjoyed the photos .this forum runs on enthusiasm and if the is not there for any reason posts will dwindle .and seems to be in my opinion sometimes over policed , but then again if you are the owner of the website and pay the bills you are in charge , , . if the download is to big the forum should be set up like the " caravaners forum " for modern vans , it has a very simple photo system ,no photo bucket , and the photos go on very small (small download ) ,if you are interested you click on the photo and it blows up to a full page , as most people are traveling have limited email access .
cheers kel.
