I like your shed. It looks like mine if mine was bigger. Smokey

Hi Everyone, We too are looking for a 1950's era caravan. We are recent newcomers to the site and as we have bought ourselves a 1956 Chrysler Desoto not long ago we reckon a suitable same era van would complete the picture. Do like the pic from Roehm3108. Whats the story on that one ? We live in Bloomsbury( between Mackay and Proserpine QLD) Thanks for any replies. Smokenell

G'day Jennison, will upload some pics when we download from our camera which is in the control of Nellie (Mrs Smokey). We have only had the car for two weeks and have been working feverously (as fast old farts do) to get roadworthy and rego as soon as possible. Car has been shedded for eight years so brakes etc have had to be renewed. Hope to be rego'd late next week. Still looking for a small 50's van. the one near Nowra a bit far away at the moment. Keep looking. Smokey & Nellie

G'day Dennis? ( I hope), thanks for the reply. My Desoto has failane steering column and steering wheel. I would like to fit an oiginal wheel if we could adapt it. The car looks original except for the 14 inch mags and the ford steering wheel. We will keep looking for a wheel and a teardrop. happy dodging, Smokey

G'day JBJ, just joined the forum looking for a small 50's van to tow behind our '56 Desoto Diplomat Plaza. I had a '56 Dodge back in 1968 so read all your posts with great interest. Found the Desoto about a month ago and coudn't resist it. It's running a '76 Fairlane 302 Ford, C4 box and diiff. Spent the last couple of weeks sorting brakes andbits and pieces ready for rego in a couple of weeks. You have certainly done a great job on the Dodge and I wish you well in the finishing stages. Smokey.
