The date should be enough to give it up... Reddo No, it's not the date that's the dead giveaway....it's the name tag you left on it when you uploaded it to photobucket!... but I promise I wont cheat or tell anybody!
Cheers, Helen

Hi, I reckon it could be on the boat trip to the caves that we went on while at Mt Gambier, Mind you 8 years ago is a hell of a long time to remember when you are enjoying it, & it has been a hell of a lot of fun most of the time

No.. Not Mt Gambier.....
I know we here in NSW have just clicked our clocks back an hour at the end of daylight saving .... but MT Gambier??...That was 2008 This photo was taken in 2006
Yes .. it is in south OZ.... on the murray.. But... I need a town.. The shot was taken about halfway between 2 towns .. so either town will get you a cuppie doll. !!!

Hi Reddo,
My photo records show Morgan & Barmera as being 2006, so I believe its the riverbank we cruised along in the houseboat, near where the water supply is drawn for Adelaide ( I think) That was my original thought, but somehow I got confused by Cobber with his years he stated So to me the two towns would be Morgan downstream, & Waikerie upstream
Both towns had good pie shops from memory

I'm confused ..how come I'm confusing people Morgan was in April 2006, f/f got to be a member in August 2006 so he wasn't at Morgan.... that's what I said Hellsbells said (in effect)... if you right click on Reddo's photo it will tell you what the photo is of in Reddo's photobucket label..... So that's why I called 'em both 'amateurs' Stop confusing me Cobber, (I think)

Hi Cobber.
Its confusing to try & work out why I'm confused. Probably old age & too much juice over the years.
But I agree with your dates about Morgan, & those of us that attended remember who was there. It was a great event, with a real good West Aussie attendance as well. And who could ever forget the Karaoke at the pub. Reddo doing Spike Milligan, Boots & her boots, Retro 1 trying to sing, the free alcohol towards the end, ........ reddo getting mugged by possums back at caravan park, the memories are all there.

G'day JBJ, Yep she was a good doo, comparatively speaking only a small gathering, don't think there would have been more than twenty vans there (would that be right ?) Anyway.....From little things big things grow I remember Reddo was a bit slow getting involved in the floor show (can't imagine why that would be ) but when he did, I was sitting near his son who said " you won't get rid of him now he's started" How about the kerfuffle over the bloke who was copying photos off the forum and putting 'em on a disk for sale, did we ever find out who that was ? Anyway Cobber.

Hi JBJ An accurate description of the location.. about halfway back from Waikeri heading with the flow towards Morgan on the return trip. I can still recall the skipper having kittens about us moving from one corner of the houseboat to the other causing the nose or dig in and allow water onto the deck causing it to nose dive... Here is the 2006 nats crew Cobber... " How about the kerfuffle over the bloke who was copying photos off the forum and putting 'em on a disk for sale, did we ever find out who that was ? Anyway Yup yup.... can remember a certain bloke sitting quietly looking at all the photos until his van came up.....!!!. Next thing ya know his on the phone threatening to murder... the poor woman and nutting off about copywright / permission from van owners. I remember runningboard surfing on a 54 F100... not hanging on at 60KPH.... .... Had my jacket jammed in the Door.. Lyn holding on to the jacket.. and Will piloting the truck. Stepped off the runningboards as we went over a speed hump in the park.. cartwheeled a couple of times and then was set upon by 3 carnivorous possums. I aint going back there.. ever!!! So.. whos on first , whats on second, cobbers on third Its over to you Dennis. Reddo Read more: vintagecaravans.proboards.com/thread/9011?page=52&scrollTo=106813#ixzz2y4bgw3x5

Would that be the Aberglasslyn crossing? No mate... This is A bit further up the valley Humpty2. I will accept the nearest town on the New England Hwy. Its near a resource that a lot of the Hunter relies upon. I seen a bloke in an FJ ute towing a Driftwoo... umm bondwood van drive off from the campsite with the door still pegged open on the caravan, and entry step left sitting on the ground !!! Reddo

You said the magic word ... Aberdeen... Tag your it !!!! Also.... The beer fridge in the "Shed of Invention" is ALWAYS stocked and available 24 hours a day. Even in forced retirement my feet hit the bedroom floor at around 5.00am each morning .. so beer and cornflakes would have been on offer as you went past Barnsvegas.... Ummm.. I am beginning to see why you didn't ring Reddo
