Hi Apiarist1 & All, There has been some problems with the plant - nothing to do with my rubber, luckily - when they are sorted out they will modify the die and do, hopefully the final sample run before the full order run. I will let everyone know as soon as that happens. Cheers, tonyh

News Flash Sent Lazza - Roadmaster Guru in Adelaide a sample of the rubber and it doesn't fit their Aluminum frames - Different shape altogether. Lazza is sending a sample and drawings and I will be working with him to establish whether there is enough need out there to make a new die for the rubber for these windows as well. So we need Anyone with other brands of vans built in SA pre1967 - Globe etc to let me or Lazza know to try to find out which and how many SA vans had these type of windows. Cheers, tonyh

NEWS FLASH * NEWS FLASH * NEWS FLASH ;D ;D I picked up the 300 meters of completed rubber today so I will be talking to the post office and letting everyone know ASAP ;D Lazza - Roadmaster master checked "my" Qualcraft window rubber and we now know that there is TWO types of Qualcraft windows with different rubbers. Lazza has contacted a rubber manufacturer near him to reproduce the "South Aussie" rubber which as described to me has a larger "T" , a back edge to clip around the window frame and a larger sealing face section. Lazza will put up a cross section and description when he can. Both Lazza's Roadmasters have this rubber and Fossie's 15' Sunliner appears to have it too. All the other Sunliner and Olympic owners that I have sent samples to have reported that my style of rubber is the one for their windows. Cheers, tonyh

Hi everyone, There is still a couple of VV owners that expressed interest that I have no contact numbers for and I have sent a PM to with no response. If you don't need it now, that's OK - just let me know as I have had a very good response and don't want you to miss out on this first run if you need still need it. ;D Cheers, tonyh

Hi TonyH, we will certainly need rubbers for our 61 sunny so if you still have some i would need enough for the four side windows and one pushout at the front, the rear window has been swapped out for a modern windout at some stage, ( still unsure if this is a bad thing or not ) does the rubber go around the whole frame or just sides and bottom maybe Sutcac can clue me in ?? anyhow just registering serious intrest. cheers Ralphy

Hi Ralphy, On these type of Qualcraft window the rubber is only on the sides and bottom. The top of the frame is the hinge and is screwed and sealed against the body. ;D PM me with your details and I will send you a sample so you can make sure it is the correct one for your model ;D Cheers, tonyh

Hi Mate, We have an old sunliner with bubble front and rear windows which are cracked and crazed and leaking!!. We have completed the inside and are about to update the outside. We heard there is somewhere that makes reproduction windows. Can you provide any help or advice on how to replace windows?? Thanks Deano

I know these rubbers are for the littler windows - we're after rubber for them, but REALLY need the rubber for the front and back - our Sunliner is (I think) from 1962 and the windows are wraparound. Anyone have any pointers? We're in Melbourne. Beth

Hi tonyh and VVers Restoration of Olympic Riviera chassis no. 35 -- Just commented work on this project and one of the first jobs was to polish the window frames (manufactured by L O Baker Brisbane) and fit new rubber seals delivered by tonyh, -- Fitted perfectly, just like new again. The van is a 1965 model. Though this might help other Olympic owner with early vans up to chassis no. about 1450 with large single pane type windows fitted. Cheers boblor
