Hi Vintage Vanners. Just got back from the Bendigo Swap, where i picked up a fair bit of vintage caravan stuff. ;D ;D ;D At the swap there was a 1948 Caravan Park caravan for sale, it was in fairly good condition, the aluminium on the outside was a little shabby but the interior was good, and it was for sale at the bargain price of $2500.00 If anyone is interested I have for sale 4 100mm round NOS taillights and 3 pair of Egg shaped NOS tail lights they all have red lenses no amber ones at this stage. I also picked up a silver badge that is about 120mm long x 50mm wide with an enamel picture on it for Windmill Caravans,If anyone has any info on these please let me know. ;D ;D

Hi Ray,
Thanks for your feedback the Caravan Park caravan was steel framed aluminium clad with rounded corners around the roof line as well as around the bottom of the caravan. I think it was the last model before they change to carapark caravans. I will post a photo when i get the chance.
Cheers
Richard

That van is the same as mine. I bought it in Ballarat. Mine is a 1947 model and is steel clad. Wouldn't be surprised if that one is too. What's the interior like? Does it still have the ice box? Cheers Ray

Hi Ray
The Interior was good but it was starting to show its age a bit.The cupboard doors still had the varnish finish on them and yes it still had the original ice box that was in priitty good nick.
Cheers
Richard.

I also saw this van at Bendigo.
Norm owns the van and has others on display at
RAFERTY'S MOTOR MUSUEM on the outskirts of EUCHCA
He runs the museum with his son and they have a vintage van themselves along with a couple in a paddock and two others on loan in the display shed
If anyone has been there or can get there, it is worth a look for $5.00 a head. There is a 30's caravan/camper along with a 50's van, both in mint condition. The owner of the 50's van didnt have children so the inside of the van is mint. ...ran out of film for this one
I have a few pics and will post them soon
