Hi Jim & Tricia, So my dementia hasn't quite set in yet then ;D You said "See you in a couple of weeks" does that mean that you are coming to Canungra again this year? If so, are you joining us all for the Christmas get together/dinner etc on the Saturday night? I haven't seen your name on the list and I think the cut off for numbers and payment is in the next couple of days. Apologies to Dianne for highjacking this post See you soon Regards Di

Hi Lisa
Not really sure of dates we'll be heading back, but I can't imagine it would be New Years day 😃 hopefully we will party into the night New Years Eve and "recover" New Years Day. So maybe head home 2nd or 3rd depending on how things are going. Would be great if you could join us for a few night, at least. Dianne

Hi all, well it's time to start thinking about Xmas lunch at Kenilworth. We spoke to a few people at Canungra, so we'll make a start with this.
First up, we need to confirm numbers for Xmas day, so we know how many (roughly) to cater for.
So far I have Adams x 5, Bannos x 5, Di x 1, Doug & Tracy x 2, Troy & Nicole x 4, Ob & Lyn x 2, Jim & Tricia x 2, Matt & Leanne x 2 making 23.
At Canungra Banno kindly offered to bring the Ham, and Doug said he would bring some Seafood and I'm happy to do Pavlovas. If anyone else has something that they would really like to do, please feel free to put it on here. I will put up a list of a suggested menu later in the week, and see where we go from there.
Also it has been suggested that we do a secret Santa. So if everyone attending would like to bring a gift for the same sex they are, then everyone should get something. Just mark if it's for a male or female.
More soon Dianne

Hi Dianne,
Re: Food.
Depends on wether you would prefer me to bring a dish for the main course or a dessert dish. I can do a Nutty Brown Rice Salad or a Trifle - let me know which you would prefer.
Regards Di

No need to book, just turn up. Drive past the little office, down the bumpy track and veer left. You can check in later. We have the whole area there for us lot.

Hi all
We were hoping to get to Kenilworth sometime during the 10 days, probably around New Year but something has turned up that means we have to head off in the opposite direction!
So we'll be thinking of you all & for sure you're all going to have a great Xmas & New Year!!!!

Hi all Well with only 9 days till Xmas here is the final food list. Thank you very much to everyone for their contribution Potatoes - Adams Potato Salad - Tricia Lettuce Salad - Di Noodle Salad - Nicole Ham - Banno Turkey - Lyn Chicken - Adams Pork - Adams Seafood - Doug Veggies (Hot) - Lyn Pavlova - Adams Trifle - Di Xmas Pudding - Doug Soft Drinks - Nicole Nibbles - Matt I think that should be quite a good feast. I will be taking our big Gazebo and hopefully Banno will too, and set them up as a communal area. There will also be a big barbecue set up for everyone to use if they wish. Don't forget to bring a chair (obviously). The only other thing to remember is a secret Santa gift. The easiest way to get there is straight up the freeway and take the exit to Kenilworth (opposite the Eumundi turnoff). Follow the road up the hill (not too steep), and Kenilworth Homestead will be on your right. If you cross the Mary river or get to Kenilworth township you have gone too far. It's about a 3-4 minute drive to the township. When you arrive follow the driveway down to the left, and we will be on the left before you get down to the river. Have a safe trip up, and we'll see you there next week. Dianne

I have a 3m X 3m Gazebo that I can bring up too if you like. Have to go and get the van out already, slab is getting boxed up today but wont be poured till Tuesday, not enough time to cure before we are on the road Still, at least there is progress on the carport! Cheers Doug.

Hi Dianne & John, Thanks for organising this trip away - I am really looking forward to the break. Lisa, I think quite a few people are planning on staying over New Year aswell. So you should be back in time to catch up. For anyone interested there is a very talented Duo playing music and singing at the Irish Pub at Tranquil Park at Maleny on NYE. It will be well worth the short drive Luv Di

Hi Di
I already have most of that organised. I have a tree and decorations packed. Half a dozen tablecloths and crackers for all. Music and games for those that wish. The extra table won't go astray. I will also bring serving platters, serving spoons, plates, cutlery etc etc. I bought good disposable plates and cutlery so we won't end up having to be doing washing up all day.
Thanks, Dianne
