Hi guys and gals, I have been checking this Fourm for a few days thought I would sign up and introduce my self. I met Cobber at the NRMA motorfest and he told me to check you out, so here I am finally. I have owned 2 vintage caravans in the past, the first one was a 16 foot Gypsy and unfortunatly this was in a sad state and when I took it off the chassie to fix it the floor caved in so it had to be disgarded. The second was a very good condition ply van circa 1950s, this had no make marking on it but did have a canvas coating over the ply. Sadly this had to be sold when we brought our house. I will own another van one day. I am very much into lowriding and am currently restoring a 1961 chev belair and own a very nice XK falcon which is up forsale to fund the chev. I'll get some pics up soon of the old vans.
Bevan.

Thanks Mark, heres a pic of the Gypsy, its a shame it was so far gone but after looking at Retro1s thread I feel guilty about letting it go.

G’Day Bevan, real pleased you made it onto the forum, it’s big and just keeps on getting bigger eh?. Just goes to show how many people are interested in the subject. It would be great to see you at next years Motorfest with an old van behind the Chev, what are the chances? Regards, Cobber.

Hi Bevan Good te see another "local' signing up to the forum. he old van looks like an easy resto - love the venetian blinds. The Chev looks like a tidy old girl too. Always a problem finding enough time and money to work on all the "toys'. they will make a great combo when the show hits the road. Falcon looks good . I am a Holden/Chev lover myself ( I will confess to having a soft spot for early ford F100's as well) but can appreciate any vehicle that has been lovingly restored or rodded) . How much $$$$ are you asking for the XK Reddo in Newcastle

Haha, thanks guys. I am asking $8,000 ono for the falcon. It is mainly all original, it has been respayed and was black from the factory. The interior is all original and so is the motor with only 80 thousand miles on the clock, it has a set of extractors which run into a duel exhaust. Its got full rear fender skirts and has been lowered 3 inches. It has just had a hole new front end put in. It can be left as is or in a good days work it can be put back to completly stock, its up to who ever buys it.
Cobber, don't know if i'll have a van this year but its on the wish list for the future.
Bevan
