Hi Rod,
Mate Lennox Head is (almost) the restaurant centre of the far north coast. Last Friday night we had dinner at the Sushi Train in Byron Bay, Fantastic tucker. Not cheap, but then all good things cost you unfortunately.
At Lennox, real good fish & chips at The Bream Hole. Good tucker at the pub upstairs restaurant ( pricey)
Heaps of seafood, thai & chinese if you want to sit down.
Or theres an IGA if you want food to cook on the camp kitchen.
The stove would be a bit rough to sleep on I reckon. It would be better to just slug on a good bottle, & chew on a cabanosi.
I can generally supply a bourbon & a packet of chips if your desperate.
Its all fun

Great photos Jackie. The weather wasn't the best but you certainly couldn't complain about the company. Every time we get home from one event we're raring to go to the next. Thanks to Di for organizing this event and to everyone who went along to share the weekend. See you all next time. Cheers. John, Dianne, Shaina and Robyn

Hi All, Well I don't know about the rest of you, but my sides hurt ;D I don't remember laughing so much at any one time. The laughs started on Friday morning when I bumped into Phil & Louise in a Op shop and it then carried on from there. For all those nic nac collectors out there - I am pleased to annouce that we all well and truly did justice to the 8 charity shops in Ballina as well as 6 garage sales. Also Lismore was targetted with some success ;D ;D ;D, as well as the retro shops in Lennox Head. I would imagine that we have kept the local economy going for atleast another month I want to say a special thank you to Loiuse (Philou) for bringing along "the Sherry" and for doing a great impression of Hyacinth Bucket "Anyone for Sherry", also for the fantastic show and tells - showing all your purchases . To Di (Jondi) for being a great cruise director, whilst touring around the garage sales. To Cathie and Rob (Smiles) for bringing me a pair of Propert tongs and also for hosting "Party Central" on Saturday night at their site. . To Bob (Boblor) for organising the Chinese meal on the Saturday night. To Jacqui (Bob&Jacqui) for her suggestion of fancy dress at a future event (info will appear on the Canungra thread) and to the many many hours of fun, laughter and rudeness that came from that suggestion (thanks Loretta and Banno). To Banno & Joey for the Griddle Cakes and Steve & Michelle for the Hot Cross Buns and Crumpets - needless to say we didn't go home hungry. To everyone else that attended that made it such a fantastic weekend. All in all, even though the weather wasn't kind to us, this weekend has to go down in our memories as one of the greats. Thanks to all Luv Di

Hi All, Just a couple more pix. It was another great weekend, with everyone enjoying themselves. We had a Canadian visitor travelled with Ray in his Franklin, parked next to Butcherbob & his Franklin. Guy was over visiting Ray , & came from Edmonton. He loved our concept of vintage vanning. When it was time to tow Deejay, somehow the wrong towcar got into place. Boots found 2 apprentices, So it could be that more Boots will turn up in time. JBJ
