Hi All. Can anyone tell me or post a pic of insect screens for the pop top roof hatch. Mine has no screen, but has 2 double groove plastic grey chanel , I suspect had split sliding screen setup ? Thanks. Stu.

Hey Stu The Olympics have two sliding flyscreens that go in those grooves. Having said that. Some put flyscreen around the edges instead of across the hatch. Using pinchweld to hold it in place. Read Atog here. This is done to keep the ceiling high. More room. In later Olympics they started doing something similar. Cheers Atog

Hi Stu
Here's a photo of the fly roof screen in my Debonair, nice stainless frame with the screen glued on. When I had mine out to clean I was going to cut the unsightly looking overhang on the ends off but I think they are meant to be there to provide a better end seal so I left them alone.
I also have rather nifty, but not very efficient, flexible rubber or plastic edged window screens which have the screen material glued to it. They have pins of some sort in each corner to hook them onto. Don't know if they are original but have been there a long time and appear to be professionally made. I intend to do some repairs and make them fit better. Velcro is looking like a better option.

George - we have the same fly screen window treatments and would like to restore or replace them. What did you end up doing?

Hi suem
In the end I did very little to them, a bit of a tidy and left them alone, I like the style and didn't want to replace them. The van doesn't get a lot of use but ingress of insects soon gets sorted with a bit of fly spray or a mossie coil.
Nice to know that another Olympic has the same sort of screens, good luck with them.
