Hi Geoff, Overlanda and Wendy, Thanks for arranging the get together. I will be there until about 12.30 pm when I have to dash off to a 50th Wedding Anniversary (no, not mine!). Fortunately it's not all that far away. Unfortunately Dona Ricardo will be tied up with a community carols event, so she can't come. I will bring some dips and dipping edibles for morning tea. Hi guys, we'll be there, should we bring a pav? Maybe we'll bring a plate - with something on it, not sure what just yet. Dave hopes it's not a sponge cake. He keeps complaining that the last one I made left him thirsty for a week. Dave and Lil

Unfortunitly we wont be bringing the MFP pursuit vehicle. Its in the Gippsland vehicle museum in Maffra as part of the emergency vehicle display for 3 months. Also we need the room in the old shed to store stuff after pulling down the bungalow and garden sheds, to make way for a new Barn, heres a pic of the slab laid last week, just thought id throw a pic in. hoping to have the new shed up either before xmas or just after...

A big thank you to Gerald & Wendy (again) for opening up the workshop and putting on the BBQ today,a very pleasent and relaxed day catching up with members old and new and yes f/f if any of us went home hungry it would have only been our own fault. The main item on display as mentioned before was a Fifth wheeler of very impressive proportions, a VV it aint but lets give it fifty or so years and we may reconsider, may! I said

Hi all, A few more pics from yesterday's Great Victorian V V Christmas Get Together: At the back of the first four photos (above) you can see the 5th wheeler mentioned by Firefighter. It will weigh 14.5 tonnes when complete! We talked about the possibility of Larry towing it with his Mayflower, but decided that the chassis would be torn out from under the van with the first burst of acceleration from the Mayflower! From the above pics it looks as if all we did was eat... Well we had to do justice to this: Thanks once again to everyone who made the effort to come to the get together - some from a considerable distance away - and also for contributing to such a magnificent feast. Special thanks also to Doug from the Overlanda factory who cooked the BBQ - seen here on the left with Overlanda (Gerald) himself, on the right: Don Ricardo
