Hey Reddo You have a strangely interesting notion there ...... While almost all fibreglass vans come out of a mold the differences are in the final finishes inside and out. Take Luvshack 2 as an example.... same mold but what a difference.. The Sunliner with the orange flames to match a car? Green Sunliners Silver Sunliners Not to forget soon a Sunliner with a surfer theme and fishtail exhaust pipes no less Is there a theme here? So many Sunliners being done up? They are a good canvas to paint on Not a lot of change is done with Olympics Lets face it they look magnificent as is.. only the interiors need changing due to them aging and new technology materials ;D ;D As the old ad said "When you're on a good thing... Stick to it" Atog Damn I hate getting too serious

Well I suppose if he'll forgive you I should ;D ;D But I can't help but wonder if the non bondy vans ended up in good homes or not - Just my suspicious nature of anyone in a blues Jersey. ;D Annnyywway have you any other name suggestions as none of those names I thought wood would put across the aristocratic nature of my beautiful Olympic ;D ;D ;D And as for improving her - how do you improve perfection As the song says "it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way" ;D ;D ;D See Ya

Hi Tony Why not name your Olympic after that well known loser in the womans rowing team last year....."Lay down sally". Atog The shot about the shape of sunliners not changing too much in thier entire life still stands. Ya can carve chunks out of em. Try and do something with thier "Mr frosty" front and back plastic windows , glue fins on em.. but... in the end There is not a lot you can do to them to give em that individual look apart from dressing them up ( painting them different colour schemes). and bung different wheels on em. Sorta like the same dilemma that kids have each easter in the easter egg painting comp at school. Then like us Bondy modifiers ya get in trouble with the thought police ;D and the " 'riginal rangers" Thought for today.... I have demolished 3 vans ... none have been fobbergross. ;D I figure i wont touch em ... need an asbestos demolition licence and "Health is more important than wealth"" Besides that if i demolish em i will be left with "Sunliner organs" that might be used to save an ailing sunliner from certain death .....So .. much better to onsell thier sorry carcasses in one miserable lump. There now ... that should ignite the war again.... Sunday is almost over and church finishes shortly.... God wont see this post until next sunday morning...... Reddo ;D

Hey ATOG, You can see there runnin' scared now - there gangin' up on us but it all comes down to jealously ;D ;D they talk about the Facts WELL: Fact 1. Wood gets rot -you have to replace the sheet - Fact 2. Tinnies get damaged you have to replace the sheet. Fact 3. Fibreglass gets damaged - with a bit of resin and fibre -repair the damaged area - good as new ;D ;D ;D ;D They are environmental Vandals who should hang their heads in shame, wasting the worlds dwindling resources while the beautifull Fibreglass Just Keeps On Keeping On. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Hee hee hee hee Cheers, tonyh

We have three vans with rego and four car with full or club rego.
All have names.
How it started was when we got our 1980 jayco swam in 1998. When we were towing it home with our commodore at the time all we could see behind us was a sticker on the van with Doug Thorley viscount.
So we name the van Dougie.
Six months later we got a patrol we call that Pat.
We have traveled a fair bit around Australia with Pat and Dougie.
So the naming continues,
Stan and Olly ( Olive) ( from on the buses) For the grey Vanguard and the 1948 bondwood van
Star for our 1991 Starcraft van
Sky for our 1960 light blue vanguard
and we have Ted the tent.
Our 1926 Crossley is called Genevieve
Our kids helped us name most of the above.
Hope others enjoy our naming.
Regards
Shane and Simoen

My rellies call my green teardrop the MINIBAGO, an ex girlfreind called it Kermit, and a lot of people on the road call it that thing with the leg hanging out the back, as I used to have a fake leg under the kitchen door.Unfortunately so many people thought it was real (fair dinkum) that I was asked by the local cops to remove it. Not that it is illegal but it wastes a lot of valuable policing time they told me . "so could you please do us a favour and take it off" Last time I went to Qld I put it back on and some old bloke nearly caused an accident trying to tell me there was a body hanging out of my van!!! So I use it only when the van is on show now> My Globe Trotter seems to be stuck with the 'G.T.' Maybe that will change if ever I get to use it.

At the recent Pottsville get-together there was a sign writing chappie who affixed a name to my little bondy van. Very original name eh! Apparently his signwriting services will be available at Coledale 08. ;D

Hi all,
As per my post in Members Photo Album we have officially named our Clipper Hilda. Thanks to all who suggested names but as usual your first thought is normally the best.
cheers, Leigh.

As previously mentioned on the "Classic Van" site, my 1962 Carapark Astronaut 15/5 is called "ANNA" it came about cause as people were asking me what I had in my driveway at the time I was always telling them about Fred the F100, Harry M Wagon the EK wagon, Henry the EK sedan, the EK ute called Russ ANNA old carapark caravan, hence the name stuck! Seeing as all the cars are boys names it fits in perfectly! and she is being restored as a long term partner for Harry, but has been known to step out with Fred and Henry as well! Cheers Matt

Atog and gang, My XC wagon tow machine is painted Sweet Cream so my little 9' gem when it hits the road is probably going to be wearing "Banana Muffin". Cheers, Heath
