G'day All, Thought I'd share a couple of piccies. Picked this up in Bundaberg for a mate last weekend. Still registered and towed great. It's only 10foot long 6foot 7 inches wide. I have not seen too many Viscounts this size. Cheers Bob and Jacqui ;D ;D ;D

G'day Bob and Jacqui, Cute little Valiant there. Next time you are near this Valiant, would you please take note of the chassis number and post it here? When the Valiant model was first launched in 1962, you could get them in only two sizes: 12ft 6 and 14ft 6. But over the next few years, the Valiant seems to have been downsized to cater for the smaller towcars on the market, and the Viscounts and Ambassador models catered for the larger end of the market. I've collected quite a few pictures of Valiants from the mid to late '60s, and they all seem to be around the 10-12ft mark. The Valiant in your photos appears to match the side-stripe used in the 1966 models, as this picture of an Ambassador shows... cheers, Al. Oops, I meant to add...can you also take a close-up photo of the Valiant sticker above the front window, and post that here as well? Thanks mate.

G'day Al, Here's a pic of the sticker on the front of the van. Do you have any idea what year the old girl was made? Cheers Bob

G'day bobandjacqui,
I still think it's a 1966 model. The close-up of the Valiant sticker shows it's consistent with the stickers used at that time. The faded yellow strip under the word 'Valiant' had the word 'Alumvan' on it, from memory.
cheers, Al.
