Cruz Hi Thar cruz-ness... ;D If this weather keeps the temps up around 40 deg everyday i plan on leaving Newy on Thursday night after work ( 11.00pm) and drift on down to at least Golbourn that night. (3.00am). Catch a bit of sleep and then rock on over to Nelligen via Braidwood on friday morning. My head tells me i have paid a deposit of some sort. I guess i can sort out whats doing with the caretakers...( why do they call em that when they are moneytakers ) when i get thier mid fri morning.... Tell the Steampacket pub i am on my way and... put another keg on for next friday night.. A trophy for the best campsite..... Geez........ ... I'll have to buy "Rosie" a new dress and handbag Cya Reddo

Hiya, I'm in Canberra and nursing a newfound but powerful obsession. Any chance we could just duck in during the day and check things out?

Hi all, Not long to go now. The Nelligen event is a actually a pre70's event. Of course there will be modern cars in the park. VV tow cars and those car nuts who do not have a car on the road. The loose program is . Friday night: snags on the BBQ (perhaps just a cool drink to wash out the road dust). Saturday: BYO breakfast, cruise into B/Bay, after lunch chill out in the park.Including Starter motor toss comp.(organised by yours truly). The pub across the road has put on a band, so most will be heading there for a meal, music, and maybe a cool drink. Sunday morning: a Show 'n' shine for the cars. Should be all over by lunch time i would say. I am arriving early friday(if the car is back together) to help with the registrations. See you all there.

( 2 panadol.. a pee ... and a look around) It looks like the food cupboard is gunna be very .. .. Bachelorish this trip...... In other words.. Bring money... bring beer. Starter motor throw I will bring the crank handle out of the A40 ute After 7 days of 40 deg plus we have just copped a southerly and about 20mm of much needed rain... I have been sitting in a deck chair .. sucking on a stubby and getting soaked.. Nature can be kind.. and .. it can be cruel. Reddo

We're Baaaaack, a good weekend had by all I would say... congrats Reddo and Kazanadam on scooping the pool in that unmentionable thing we forum types don't normally participate in! but well deserved on both counts.... I'll let the photos do the talking. Thanks cruz for inviting us, there were some really top cars/yoots (and vans) to drool over. The 400 cube blue IH yoot was the one for me!! jennison

Outta bed 4.30am Friday morning. Got down past sydney before the morning traffic flood caught me. 100 series landcruiser towing a double axle 8x5 trailer decided to flip upside down and skate through the wattle trees in the middle of the road after slowing down to taking photos of the F100 and Rosie... what a mess. Got to Braidwood as it started to drizzle... walked into the pie shop and ran into Ken and Jude. They followed me down the mountain to Nelligen in that beautiful big Buick with the TD on behind. Met Cruz at the park gate. Chippy Dave, Kazanadam , Jennison , Bugsy arrived shortly afterwards. Went on a cruise into Batemans Bay saturday. Jeff and i dined on Marlin and chips at the old seafood joint on the bay. Hapy hour back at camp then up the pub saturday night ... then back down to camp for the second half of happy hour(s). Up early suinday morning.. wet a line in the river 5 bream .. all about 1/2 short of legal.. back they went for next year. Stoked about picking up trophies for longest distance travelled.. 530K down from Newcastle.. even longer going home. Was packing up the display stuff in Rosie when the Shannons bloke asked if i coulkd go back to the judges tent... Picked up best caravan trophy as well... Sorry Kazanadam.. i showed you my voting sheet and you had my vote.. To me the real winners out of the weekend was the vintage van movement. With 7 cars and vans on display we really opened up the eyes of the people staying in the van park as well as some of the rodders saying they where on the hunt for an old van to hook up to thier cars.....cool. Run into heavy rain on the way back up the coast. Stayed at Coledale sunday night... wet , blowey , cold and miserable... ahhh .. typical coledale aye Went up the RSL for the raffle. won 2 huge rump steaks. Had to celebrate that .. Slept in this morning...7.00am Rain on the way home. olblackBetty went well..only drama was CD player falling off the bottom of the dash near wakefield park on friday... C4 Auto having a few moments wobble every now and again. Got home at 11.00am .... then off to work. Just got home from work ..( 11.30pm) will post some pix tomorrow. Had a ball. cant wait for Gresford in March. Regards Reddo
