Hi Whippy,
Looks pretty cool. Should run great with the flatmotor.
It must feel good to finally get something you've wanted for a while.
Enjoy it.

Just an update, I found that many thread bare wires, I cannot believe the car hasn't burnt before now. I have taken the dash out to begin the re-wire. The headlights are now RHD & wired up and I am slowly plodding along with the rest. As I am now retired, I don't see any point rushing the job at this stage and I am enjoying myself ;D ;D ;D ;D
I am waiting on the reco water pumps and the side windows and when I get them we will put all the goodies, triple cards, finned heads , new radiator with a 16 inch thermo, unfortunately will have to make our own headers as nothing will fit for twin pipes.

Hi Whippy. Looks like she`ll come up very nice. Couple of things: Is the visor original as just doesn`t seem to look right? And don`t understand - "the headlights are RHD & wired up"? Good luck with assembling all the goodies. Will certainly make a vast improvement on horsepower. cheers gordon

Nice ride there whippy, carefull you don't pull the front out of the van ;D, gordon, as for the RHD lights my guess is they were still set for driving on the right hand side of the road which means when you drive here on the "CORRECT" side of the road the lights are pointing to the centre of the road rather than to the left hand edge, so me thinks.

Hi Humpy. Wasn`t aware car was imported even though it`s sporting yank plate. Figured that was purely for pic & that it was already being driven on oz roads. But yeah, makes sense. cheers gordon

Thanks for you comments guys, she will stay flathead, still haven't got her registered, a few more hurdles to jump. Had to rewire the car as most wires had no insulation.
New glass will be ready monday , needs new exhaust & stuff like that. Yes she will be ready for Bright.

Just an update, she is registered and on the road, I am enjoying driving her. Still refining her, just want her as a great cruiser, I added a 4 barrel manifold and a Holley 4 barrell carby which makes her run better.

After driving Bess for a month as my main car, I have realised that she is very costly to drive, a trip to Melb & return cost $20 compared to $5.00 in my fairlane on gas.
I have bought a 95 V8 fairlane on gas and will put the lot into Bess. The flathead has a bid on it on Epay so hopefully it's gone.
As my dream is for the missus & I to go touring with Bess & Twiggy this is the sensible way to go.
Twiggy is getting a repaint, this time I am sealing all joints with fibre glass tape, the roof will be sealed with a flexible paint that will insulate the roof as well. The sides will be white/cream with burgundy bottom and black globe trotter stripe down the side
