Hi Bozhunter(s) Well done on the interior. Seems to me that the more space to play with on the inside of VV's, the better they seem to come up. Cheers Steve

G'day Bozhunter/Mark, Your van looks like a "customised" version of a 1962-63 Viscount. Not quite exactly the same as the Viscount shape, but pretty close. The 'nose' above the front and rear windows on your van are rounded completely, whereas on the Viscounts they had a straight section underneath the nose. Have a look at this Viscount van, and see what you think... The BIG question is who was Hunter?? And that's where the trail goes cold pretty quickly. I can't find anything in the Sydney newspaper archives relating to Hunter caravans, so it looks like they might have been outside the Sydney region. Maybe someone up Newcastle way was doing something with Viscounts...Newcastle being part of the Hunter region? ps. That was a pretty mean trick of someone to superglue that young fella's hands in his pockets. What does he do when his nose itches?? You've done a great job on the van! Sorry I can't help you more with the name though. cheers, Al.

Hi Al,when we were at lake fines we had an old chap come over when he saw HUNTER on top of the van,he told us it was a van made in Ballarat by a joiner who at the time was working at one of the valve companies in Ballarat. He thought he would try his hand at building a caravan, ended up doing about 12 this guy thought, he spotted the hand painted HUNTER on the van,and remembered it from back then. l will hit the local papers in Ballarat, didnt think of that, thanks, Oh and 'hands in pockets' is my young fella and thats what they do, stand around with there hands in their pockets thanks for your help Mark.
