Hey Reddo,
Cant believe engineers always, but we have to have them.
My rod weighed a little more than Black Betty over the weighbridge, & then I realised I had the spare, toolbox, jack, cleaning shit, etc in the back.
Still the cost doesnt vary a real lot for rego.
Looks better to me with steel wheels. Get out there & enjoy driving

The gas tank on my old HZ (and next week in the WB)was under the body, that way the spare and petrol tank stayed in their original spot glad you found a gas man with sense!!

SUTCAC AKA CACTUS Had one of the EJ/EH Guys ring me from the coast yesterday and mention you had sold the Chev and were on the look out for an EH Ute. If I see any EH/EJ I'll let you know. Rollydog

Hi Reddo - I'm a new member & just spotted your f100 - top truck - I've got a 53 F100 thats very different to the normal - it's a 4x4 with air lockers & air bags & drives sweet - the beauty of it all it looks like an original unmodified pickup with white walls- looking for a old van to tow behind it now - John

Hi John Thanks for the comments. I noticed a 50s studebaker 1 ton pick-up on ebay a few months back. unfinished project. 4X4 i think it had a 4.4 litre P76 motor.. Looked tough .. and as you say. Stock hieght with whitewalls. Made it look like a stock truck The idea of a 4x4 rod appeals to me as i love beach fishing as well.
I have changed the 19 inch and 20 inch mags back to black 15"X 8 " multifit smoothies/ red centres/ baby moons and staino wheel trims. with 60 series radials . much smoother ride and less wear and tear on the front end than when it was running 30 series tyres. Tyres where not load rated to suit the weight of the truck. So had to come up with something else to comply with NSW regs.
Cheers Reddo
