Hi All, We have been waiting for it to be our turn to hit the road and it has finally arrived! Peter and I leave our home of Bribie Island on Thursday 14th Jan to take up a sea change in Bunbury WA.
We will be driving our 1956 F100 and towing our 1962 Sunliner Pearl. We will be visiting Ob & Lyn in Toowoomba before traveling onto Goondiwindi and then dependant on the floods will make our way to Broken Hill and from from there Port Augusta,Ceduna, Eucla, Balladonia, Kalgoorlie, Perth for a few days rest before traveling down to Bunbury to start work on the 2nd Feb.
We will be working as Assistant Park Managers at Koombana Bay Discovery Park in Bunbury. This is a huge change to our usual occupations but are excited all the same. We would love to meet up with VV'ers along the way for a chat. Our mobiles are: 0438 292 321 or 0429 010 166. To all of the SE QLD'ers that we have come to know, don't be strangers, stay in touch and we will miss you. To Will and Lyn - put the billy on, and all the Sandgropers we look forward to getting to know you.
Cheers Trish & Pete

Congrats on getting your new job guys, sounds exciting for you, and hopefully a bit less stressful. Remember you can go slower over there, cos they're two hours behind us civilised folk here Have a safe trip over. Gonna miss that expert camp-oven cooking of yours Pete, and can only hope that you've been secretly training up an apprentice for this year. Better still, maybe you should come over just for the cook-off!! ;D ;D ;D Ray

Are we there yet? YES we are. How do all, Trish and I arrived well and safe. We had a good trip viewing varying landscape and experiencing temperatures as high as 52degrees at Madura. The trip across the Aust Bite was perhaps the highlight with a cool temp and great views of the bite. Along the way we met some lovely people, at Broken Hill we met a couple who are aware of the VV forum, they have a VV and saw us when we drove into town. For good old Aussie country service we could not go past Kalgoorlie. We developed a hole in the radiator (Madura) that needed to be repaired and Kalgoorlie though over 700 ks away would be our best option. We took the radiator cap off poured pepper into the top tank and headed off fortunately we made it. The people in Kalgoorlie are just fantastic we had several people call at the park and the radiator repairer to see Pearl and the F100. Heaps of time was spent during the trip talking about and introducing people to the VV forum. The next few days we are taking it easy in Nollamara. We head to Bunbury on Sunday and start work on 2/2/10. We are looking forward continuing our VV experience in WA. We will get some pics of the trip to David to post on our behalf. To all our VV friends in QLD thanks for your support I know we will stay in touch via the forum and if are are ever in WA or just want to chat give us a call. 0438292321. Regards Pete and Trish

How do all
Park three of our adventure.
We are now in Pemberton looking after a great tourist park. This park is great for day trips to a myriad of sites and lovely townships.
Trish and I are having a great time, we miss our VV's friends from SEQLD. Pear and the F100 are going well. Pearl is feeling the cold 9 god love her). Unfortunately we we have not been on a run with the WA guys, this is due to our work commitments. We are looking forward to the WA VV's coming to Pemberton perhaps.
Regards to all Pete and Trish
