Hi All I didn,t see JBJ post that he deleated. No problems...... Beleive me JBJ has some strong views (haven't we all) But I can tell you now he is the first to lend a hand when a help is needed. Travel with him and you will experiance his relaxed way of life. He is a great traveling companion and a lot of fun. Can someone publish a pic of him at the Coldale dinner (dress up ;D) as this shows the relaxed side of him. He is a big pussy cat...........I couldn,t say Tom cat could I.. And besides Sue keeps him in check. Like Surferboy I won't get to MT Gambier untill Thursday myself but I hope JBJ and many others are still there to catch up with. Jan & Bruce

Hi all, Much thanks to Will and Lyn for offering to bring all their equipment across from WA. As newish members, so far we have only been on the 2007 East Coast Tour and Coledale 2007. But on those occassions we had a fantastic time and couldn't have met a nicer group of people (including JBJ) and we wouldn't miss out on Mt Gambier for the world. Especially as we heard numerous good things from other members about Will and Lyn and their talents. ;D ;D So whatever the decision ends up being i.e. club, pub, hall, caravan park, etc etc - count Alan and I in. We don't mind what the decision is, we'll go along with the flow. Having said that we have a couple of great tacky outfits - it would be a shame not to wear them Regards Di

Hi Here is a list of names who have indicated they are keen on attending the T.N.T show. Will and Lynn Chippydave Mr & Mrs gristy + 2 billy lids Reddo Mr & Mrs JBJ 1954 Homemade - Al & Di Cobber and Yvonne Meanco Chris crocker guest ? Geoff and Mrs firefighter Sutcac and Barb Total = 17 plus 2 kids Is there any more takers. Have i missed anyone Remember you dont have to sing ( optional), you dont have to get dressed up ( optional), you dont have to drink alcohol ( in my case mandatory to be able to achieve singing or dressing up properly). So... if you are capable of any or all of the above or simply want to have a fun night out. SIGN UP NOW. ;D ;D ;D The one thing that will be mandatory is YOU DO HAVE TO HAVE A GREAT TIME oh and.....;D ;D Smile ;D ;D As JBJ has stated. Time is running out . To be fair to Will and Lynn we need names in SOON. Reddo

WHERE THE BLOODY HELL ARE YA Sorry for overunning this thread Will and Lyn but i feel i am also partly responsible for getting it off the rails by suggesting an alternative to your original concept.. just doin my darndest to get it back on track. abiet a bit watered down from your original concept. But a compromise is better than total demise Reddo

Hi all Lyn and I are happy to carry out the entertainment and I hate to spoil anyones fun by putting conditions on anything and I think we have been through this before
If we make dress optional then we would rather sit around the campfire and have a sing song
The easy way out is not to make an effort for us as well
If we can drag a heap of gear across to south Australia then how easy is it to go down to a second hand shop and pick up a scarf belt boots and a patch and come as a pirate
or how easy is this pick up an old suit two sizes two big carry an empty (or full) wine bottle dont shave for a day and come as a wino
What about put a crate on your head and come as a reddo look a like put a tea towel on your head and a sheet over you come as an arab
There is only one way to make this night successful We would prefer to keep it as the very first post that is on the thread please read it
I dont think it is a point of contention nor is it to much to ask for any person that wants to attend this show to make an effort to come tasteless or tacky
We will quite gladly do the show for twenty thirty fourty or whatever
because it means the people who have made the effort to pull this fun night off are making an effort and to put it simply the others arent
We certaintly are not going to knock people back at the door however we are asking everyone that attends this show to wear something tasteless or tacky and if you dont make the effort then you will be out of place
There will be some that will say I cant be bothered with this crap thats fine there will probably be some people that think that way the last thing we would want is to have someone there that does not want to be there
If a small effort and commitment is made by everyone who attends that would make lyn and I extremely happy it will add to the spirit of the whole concept
Will and Lyn

Thnaks Will'n'Lyn, Count us in for the dress up, and the billy lids - not too sure if they can qualify as tasteless or tacky, anything kids do is usually cute?!? looking forward to it - thanks again for offering to do this, you have every right to expect some effort from people in return for yours! one question: Whats that about no alcoholics??? Hmm I will need a really good disguise I am sure that there will be an Op shop or two in the Mount to supply plenty of tasteless clothing and accessoroies for our fellow VVrs. And the best bit is they are usually run by charities so the 'stuff' can be returned to them after the TnT ball! Cheers Gristy ;D ;D

Hi Will and Lynn
Pleased to hear that you are still on track for tacky and tastless. I would like to apologise for highjacking your original post and heading it off down a different path than you had intended. At the time i seen my suggestion as a way of saving something from your original concept
I was out of line for suggesting that it could be watered down by making singing, dancing and dressing up all optional. Without going back over what made me suggest a slightly different format in the first place , i feel that things have panned out for the best result. That is we now have over 40 people committed to coming along and getting into the spirit of things. I suppose the singing side of the deal will be the hardest part of the deal. Dressing up and having a good time is easy.
Looks like we are in for a great night and i am sure others that havent responded on this thread as yet will sign up when we all meet at the Mount.
Regards Reddo
