Thanks to Gerald, Wendy and Firefighter for organising a very enjoyable day for the Victorian V V'ers last Saturday, and special thanks to Wendy and one of the Overlanda staff (apologies for not getting his name) who prepared a great lunch for us, and also to the other folk who brought along some eats. It was great to catch up with some folk who I have met before, and fantastic also to meet face to face with some of the V V'ers who I have only previously "talked to" via the forum. It's amazing how many topics can be covered in a few hours, how much useful information can be shared, and how much we all have in common apart from vintage caravans (or maybe it's not so amazing after all!). Pictures? Did somebody say pictures?? OK, here they are... L to R: Karon and Leigh (Sportsman1) and Ralphndi talk with John while enjoying their lunch against the backdrop of Overlanda's teardrop project: Vicki and Doug (Don257) and Humpyboy get their lunch, while Col & Betty, Wendy, Gerald and our chef chat together in the circle: L to R: Ralphndi and Vicki and Doug pose for the camera while Firefighter pays attention to his meal, against a backdrop of a caravan currently being built by Overlanda and his team: A 1963 Wayfarer currently being restored by Overlanda "in his spare time", incorporating a new layout: Overlanda's outfit does a variety of work ranging from building new caravans from scratch to repair work to updating vans to restoring older vans (including V V's like the Wayfarer). We were fascinated to see a series of photos of Wayfarer vans from the mid-50's through to the mid-60's, and Cuz - who was also there - was able to identify his van from one of the photos. Quite a few people dropped by later and missed the photo shoot - there were 25 of us there altogether - but as you can see a great day was had by all. Don Ricardo

Hi all
It was great to meet up with you. Sorry I did not get to talk to all. But I was under some serious pressure to tend to my children’s needs. (Yep ya right it does not get better after they move out) ;D
Thanks Gerald and Wendy for hosting the day

I'm sorry I missed it. My sick sister has been in hospital this time since last Thursday, and I'm happy to say that she has had a little baby girl but mum, is still not well enough so they need to stay in bit longer.. I really wanted to come but my sister needed me.
