Thanks Mark, Some good pics AND some good comments, It's nice to know that others enjoy what we are doing eh?. That brilliant photo above, posted by Humpty2, of Reddo sniffing a flower , shows just how close we were camped to the sea and sand. Being council owned we did hear rumors that there is talk that they intend stuffing it up one way or another, kid's playground or something Whoops there goes another caravan park--kerplop? Cobber

Looks like you had a great time... I'm sure all that were not there are really annoyed that they could not make it. The site of seeing all those old van together is great and a credit to all the owners [glow=red,2,300][/glow]WELL DONE TO ALL WHO ATTENDED cheers retro1

I for one have really enjoyed seeing the pics so many of you have downloaded. As Retro said, just a shame I couldn't be there. Definitely a starter for next year. It becomes a bit confusing at times, with all the recent pics, judging which were taken in the 1960's and which were taken in 2005!!! A great effort by each van in spreading the VC benefits. Glad I'm one of them!!! Ray

I've been slandered!
It's Murray's stove, and when I was asked to have a look at it my strong advice was "get it serviced first".
So it was Murray's idea - not mine - to try lighting the thing.
Given the clouds of black smoke we got out of it I suspect the fuel inside isn't the cleanest or the freshest. Hopefully by now he's cleaned it out and put in some good quality kero (should be clear blue, not inky-coloured. Glendale is a good brand).
cheers
Belinda

No worries Humpty,
It is a funny photo (and it was a funny afternoon). What the photo doesn't show is the large audience who wisely kept a long way back and heckled from a distance.
Notice how I am keeping well out of the way of the stove. I thought Murray was really risking losing his eyebrows by getting that close!
cheers
Belinda

Tickos, Thankyou very much for the DVD of Coledale............even if I did have to go out and buy a DVD player/recorder............it was well worth it. I have played it about 5 times over the last 2 days, and enjoyed it very much every time Regards Humpty
