Well--I tried to ring Steven on that number but Optus say his phone has been disconnected. So, as Murray has suggested, I rang one of the local papers who look after the Coledale area (The Northern Leader) and told them about the great adventure. They are very interested but unfortunately don't work over the weekend. They will send a photographer about 2.30 Friday arvo--how many of us will be there at that time---hands up.
Cobber.

Hi Cobber. I have been thinking about what paper to contact down that way. Glad someone has put their hand up.
Seems a bit lame sending someone to take pictures without someone to get the scoop on the vans etc.
To answer your question. i am leaving Barnsley about 8:30am on the Friday. try and hit Sydney just after the morning rush hour. Hopefully with a strong tailwind and a full spinnaker i should sail in to Coledale by 12 ish.

Have fitted one of them thar new fangle CD sqwauk boxes under the dash of the FB so i can listen to some good ol' rock n roll on the way to Coledale should drown out the diff whine and the Lukey muffler drone. Hang on i'll let yas hava listen!!! Lets see now . OK who the hell is Mrs Magrin?? This is important ‘cause she is on the site next to me, so I did a Google on “Mrs Magrin”--mates she is trouble!! Back in 2004 she complained to her council about semi-trailers thundering down her little back street in Villawood, taking a short cut. She must have kicked up such a stink that the council slapped a five ton limit on it for her--so you can bet she isn’t going to put up with any Reddo or MrFJ55 yahoo’n, drink’n, fight’n, root’n, gampl’n, smok’n, rock’n roll’n till 3.00am if that is what you blokes have got in mind. At least she is down the posh end of the park so the rabble might have to stay up at the poor end and carry on with their shenanigans--yeah!
But then again, if she is in one of those flash Winnebago things she might have a DVD player and then she could be our friend for one night because I have some vintage caravan DVD's and video's we could look at with a tinny close by. Cobber

Onya Ticko
I nominate you as our "spokesman" or "media liason officer". Whoever gets to have a yap with this mob should remember to acknowledge Mark and Ditzy for starting the website and Belinda for taking the first step towards organising the Coledale trip.
It will be a waste of time me trying to talk to them after i have had after dinner jailbar juices.
Looking forward to it. Now all we need is a "weather liason officer" to organise a "fine, sunny, not too hot, not too cold, not too windy weekend."
Cant wait, cant wait,
Reddo

Hi folks,
to clarify things, the idea for this run came from the ever-enthusiastic Maurie so he's the one who deserves the credit. I just suggested Coledale because we'd been there before and found it a good venue.
I was in Coledale this week staying at a friend's weekender and touched base with the caravan park manager. Those people who have booked un-powered sites are on the flat ground opposite the beach. If you know your site number, these are painted on the kerb.

Hi Fellas UUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm I have a confession to make................ The two bottles of JBJ that JB donated ......... uuummm I left the lids off them and they evaporated......No!!! Ok then how about the missus knocked them over with the vacum cleaner and they smashed??? ... honestly fellas they did. I am sure you will all understand. I do have a spare half gallon for "happy hour" at Coledale . Not sure what time of day that will be but anything after ( or with) cornflakes of a morning through to bed time seems like a go idea to me. Just don't tell my case manager at "AA"s The doc has told me the new garbage bag stomach liner he has installed should work a treat. He is having trouble coming up with a material that won't melt when exposed to jail Bar Juice.... Curse you Dennis!!!! Coledale preps. Had a visit from the F@#kup fairys down the shed of invention yesterday. Gave the FB a birthday. oilchange, grease, etc. Noticed the left side windcreen squirter wasnt functioning properly. Tried clearing the holes with a bit of fuse wire to evict whatever had built thier home up there... still not happy. I took the hose off at the tank and stuck about 60 PSI of compressed air up it. Worked a treat ... started squirting clear over the roof then stopped alltogether . It was about this stage i heard running water noises coming from inside the car............ooooooo ..... Bugger!!!! I managed to blow the tee piece apart up under the dash and the resulting flood filled the CD player i have tucked under the dash. It made weird crackling noises even while it was turned off!!!!. I managed to pull the fuse on it and then give it a good blast with the compressed air. hoping it makes a full recovery by friday otherwise i will look like a goose driving down to Coledale singing to myself on the expressway. "Ten green bottles .... hangin on the wall". I do requests as well so that should keep me amused. Thinkin about packin a fishin rod. Is there anythin in the water down there that wants to commit suicide by swallowing worms with hooks in them? Now ... What time is it 8.40am !!!! time for just one little sip. Reddo - C/- Hunter health alcoholic rehab centre. Curse you JBJ..... Hic.

Gosh, you guys ARE getting excited.
As to what to wear, I have to say that not only does Robert still have his Fletcher Jones safari suit (and green body shirt and wide tie) from the 1977 Kirrawee High School year 12 formal, he can still fit in it.
What a man!
