Went to Palm Beach last weekend for my youngest sons wedding and just had to take the van. At $20 for the night heaps cheaper than a motel. I stayed at the Palm Beach Tourist Park on the corner of Gold Coast Hwy & 19th Ave. Unfortunatly this park is set to close for good on the 20th January 2008
. This is an 11 acre site right on the Gold Coast Hwy only one block from the beach so I guess they sucumbed to the lure of big bucks
Lets see 11 acres on the Gold coast Hwy at Palm Beach worth maybe $10 million or more
Pity as there is getting to be fewer parks close to the beach
Maybe we should go there for one last hooray ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Santa28a,

We live at Palmy at 26th Ave and have been watching this happening for the last few years, we were lucky to buy when we did in an area that still retains a little of the "old" Gold Coast charm. More and more McMansions are replacing the little fibro beach shacks which is a shame but I guess you cant stop progress.
Fortunatly we still have the Tallebudgera Caravan park, but for how long?, it's sitting on some prime realestate.
