G'day Tucky,
Good way to fill in time eh? The gloss finish on that Sunliner is great... I bet you spent a bit of time achieving it. What is the 'van made of ?
Cobber.

Onya Tucky ... They look great. They might only be 1/25th scale but i bet they take just as long to make as what it takes to restore their full sized cousins. The upside is they dont take up anywhere as much room as the real McCoys. If ya get tired of working on them ..... just slip em back in the shoebox and put it in the cupboard. Gotta ask where ya got the 10ft high wall tiles in the background Reddo

G'day Tucky,
Another couple of nice additions to your collections. Love the Sunliner but the others are fantastic too.
How long does it take you to put one of your little vans together?

thanks everyone for the kind remarks.to answer some of your questions these vans can take a few days to build. i built the sunliner out of solid balsa wood so that i may be able to make a mould from it.reddo those 10ft tiles were a bitch to get to stay up long enough to take the pics. thanks jbj noelene & i are doing just fine at moment, we hope to catch up with you & sue and all the people on the site on our next trip. soon i hope

Dare I ask..... is there an Olympic in the making? Might need to add some stabiliser bars to the Sunliner..... your car is sitting low in the back ;D ;D ;D Cheers Atog

hi everyone, thanks Mark for putting these photos up for me. the model is 1/24 scale and made from 8 pieces of 6mm thick balsa wood.it took a lot longer to build because i could not use my fingers on my left hand.the first photo is of my new tow car (1966 chevy impala) i had just finished repairing it when i cut my hand.i had sold my hotrod two months before buying the chev. im now waiting for my hand to come good so i can start restoring my 1948 chevy pickup.thanks for kind words. tucky

HIYA TUCKY , HOW YOU GOING ? LOVE THE TOYS , WELL DONE . BLOODY GREAT PROPORTIONS ON ALL OF THEM . HOW DO YOU DO IT ..............................MEMORY ,PHOTOS,BROCHURES , PICTURES , SCALE OR JUST PURE FREESTYLE . WHAT EVER METHOD YOU USE IT SURE WORKS . BY THE WAY , I DONT KNOW IF I TOLD YOU ALREADY BUT I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOUR OLD SUNLINER IS SITTING HERE IN SYDNEY . I HAVE TRIED A COUPLE OF TIMES TO RAISE THE DEAD BUT CANT FIND THE OWNERS .IT HAS BEEN SITTING , NEGLECTED IN THE SAME SPOT IN THE FRONT YARD OF AN EXCLUSIVE SUBURB FOR ABOUT 3-4 YEARS . 8-)MAURIE

hi maurie, i spoke to the owner of my old sunliner maybe 12 months ago when he had it for sale, so if your interested it is possibly still for sale. the way i reproduce these models is take i photo and put it on my computer so i can change the size till the size of wheel rim can be measured in mm (15 mm =15") 15" is the overall dia. of a 14" rim then transfer all dimensions of the van to paper or straight to the balsa, then start carving and sanding. my first two vans were freehand in my own design. tucky
