Hi Fatboy,
I've noticed that you have 2 threads on the same subject, so I have put this reply in both threads.
Black and White Chequered material is fairly easy to find.
I'm in Sydney and have seen it in lots of material shops.
I went into a local material shop yesterday in Hurstville called "My Hung" they have cotton black and white chequered material for $8.00 a metre, 115cms width. I am referring to approx 3cm square chequerboard not gingham.
They also have other colours if required.
They have two locations
Hurstville 302 Forest Road Tel: (02) 9582 0002
or
Parramatta 282 Church Street Tel: (02) 9635 8051
It's a shame you didn't ask a couple of weeks ago as I have just been down to Bateman's Bay with the East Coast Tour - I could have bought some down for you.
Phone them and see how you go.
Good luck
Regards Diane
