Hello everyone! We have just purchased our very first caravan (off Reddo!). My husband Quinno has spent many hours sanding the old Sunliner back and he says he is only about a third of the way through. The inside is great after giving it a good wash over and some new curtains. Can't wait to take her out for her first trip! We really enjoy reading all the stories on this site and can't believe the pictures you posted Reddo of your backyard. How did your ute go in the deluge? Good luck with getting everything back to normal. Quinno and Karina

Hi Q & K Great to see you found your way onto the forum. spyder said you have spoken with him about the windows. Ute survived nicely thank you very much. At the time of the floods i was in Queensland with the ute and little TD at the wintersun festival.. Boy didnt i feel guilty about the son and the missus running around the yard in waist deep water rescuing my old pommy bikes out of the floods and bringing them in near the fire. . Really glad old mate collected the old humber super snipe the weekend before the floods. One week it was on fire :othe next week it would have drowned in the floods. Great to hear that progress is being made on the sunliner. Inside only needed a bit of spit and polish along with some carpentry at either end under the windows. Outside is no different to restoring and painting a car. Hows about a few progress shots?? Reddo.. from Atlantis

How beautiful. Sunliner.
Can you post some inside pics...... I have a Sunliner and would like some original ideas of the floor plan due to mine being changed many years ago.

There are a couple of this type on the Diaguilar Hwy near Woodford in Qld, recently painted, does anybody know of these, is the owner a member ? I had cosidered dropping in to make an offer on one over the years but now have gone wooden on the idea. I was always afraid of the weight of these, how do they weigh up against other materials ? Keep the pics coming as you go. Dave P

Weight of a Sunliner is 680 or 700 kg......... this is not a guess, it was taken over a weighbridge about a year ago.
Not many variations on the floor plans, but the cupboard arrangements will vary a lot.....they were built to order.
What year is your Sunliner?

Hi Quinno and Karina,
If you're using Photobucket, you should be able to paste multiple photos into your messages. You're probably doing the following, but anyway:
1. Copy the Photobucket address for your pics by left clicking your mouse on the words 'IMG Code' under your photo. 2. Then paste the address into your forum message box with a right mouse click. 3. You can paste one address after another - there is no limit to the number of pics (at least no practical limit as far as I know). 4. If you want a space between the photos just place a carriage return (ie Enter) between the Photobucket addresses.
(In my experience the photos will all be placed up against the left margin. I'm not sure how you've got one of your photos to sit in the middle of the post. You obviously have found out something I don't know - not that that's hard ;D)
Re replying - if you are pressing the 'Reply' button at the top or bottom of the threads (in the blue border), then you are replying the right way.
Don't worry about being dumb - you're not!! It's taken all of us plenty of trial error to work out how to drive this thing.
Hope some of the above helps,
Don Ricardo

Hi Quinno & Karina, You guys are definately not dumb! After all you chose to buy a Vintage Caravan (that just makes you nutty like the rest of us ;D). Great job thus far on the van interior - it looks great, and authentic, can't wait to see more. Cheers, Gristy PS I only learned about photobucket through this site, and eventually mastered it (well sort of). G

Hey Dave I checked out those Sunliners more than a year ago. Not for sale, and by the sound of it they have been gutted and fitted out for fishing/camping. He wouldn't let me see inside them - must have been my untrustworthy face ;D ;D ;D Ray

Getting started had to put some old rims on and cut the outer rim off to get it in my garage. My best side..
