Hi Dorian, I think the first time I heard about "Mozart's Maulers" was when I heard an excerpt on the radio. I think it might have been serialised?? Then my wife and I saw it in a bookshop and I pointed it out. She opened the cover, started reading and started laughing - she went to the Melbourne Con, so I think she recognised a few of your characters amongst her peers! Our van is a 1949 Don bondy, which became part of the family before me (but only by a few months). The two of us have been hanging out together ever since. My wife has been known to echo Princess Di's words "There are three of us in this marriage...". Not really - she very graciously puts up with my strange obsession! Don Ricardo

Cheers Don,
Yeah Radio National has played it twice now. No accounting for bad taste. Does your wife still play/teach music? Can you send me a link to pics of your van?

G'day Dorian, My wife taught music for a few years pre-kids but has now moved into a different field. We persuade her to get her clarinet out every now and then to play, but it doesn't happen that often, regrettably. These days she's more likely to be leading singing with her guitar. The link to our van is: vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=1352Regards, Don Ricardo

Don, what a fantastic story and pics mate. Thanks for sharing. It's nothing short of stunning. Not a bad buy for $200 off Mum. Will you be at Coledale? Dorian

Hey, can anyone tell me... I am wanting to sandblast the chassis and re-spray (zinc paint?) Does the chassis come off easily? Can it be unbolted? I saw Reddo do this to his new find. Can it be done with a Sunny? Is it hard for a tool-challenged idiot like myself and my poor unsuspecting mate and six-pack? Dorian
