One of the risks of the trade when looking after someone with alzheimers disease is not to leave anything laying around that you don't want put away - never to be seen again! I made the mistake this week (in desparation to escape the wind and dust at home) of taking in all my VV cupboard doors for painting at my mums place. I have been crying in my beer all weekend since she "relocated" my one and only ,mixed by eye, special blend (to match the two tone table)can of green paint! Will it turn up. Yes , but in 1, 2 or 10 weeks who knows!? Actually I do know. ABout 5 minutes after I buy another b#*%#y one!!!!! jennison

I should have stuck to my initial gut feelings but here is my retraction of my previous retraction!!! The general consensus of the coledale crew was, after much inspection, that the sides of my 53 pathfinder are definitely sheet GAL!!!!. Another unique twist!! regards Jennison

Well its been off and on like a brides nighty but I have finally done it, although don't be surprised if I change it again before Berri. The all white pathfinder is no more. Its a two tone!! Still not sure if I like it and haven't finished deciding on the colour of the stripe, spat and roof hatch. It may all end up white again. I also discovered some original ext paint work. The stuff I unearthed some months back on the front must have been/was badly sun affected. The new find is obviously the same colour but not as yellowed and if I do change my mind again I may even reconsider the ridgy didge colours maybe-I think-most likely-in all probability-if I don't change my mind-I suppose-do you reckon?!?!...............regards(I think)

"Blue and green should not be seen without a colour inbetween" Good advice I'm told but being a man with no colour sense, I have ignored it any way! Green lower half, white upper with a dark blue stripe and hatch (and eventually spat as well) I have agonized over this but it did seem to look the best of all the computer generated colour schemes I tried. However I am still not sure!!!! So for gawds sake when we get to Berry, I have thick skin,(and remember-no colour sense!) so if you think it looks (dare I say it?) GHASTLY, then bloody well tell me!!!!! regards to all Jennison Ps the stripe/spat is not done yet so no pics at the moment

Thanks Kingy , but I can't believe it, I have just undercoated the stripe and I rather like the grey! Same colour as the EH and not so hard on the eyes as the dark blue!!?? Had a minor disaster on one side though,......I removed some masking tape and some of the green paint running along the edge lifted. Serves me right for rushing but I am heading away again for the fortnite before Berry so I am rushed for time.So blue it will be at Berry (till I get back and paint it grey! - I think???) ......Regards

Didn't know whether to put this under technical or here ,but here it is. MkI attemt to paint the raised lettering of the pathfinder nameplate was a failure. Theory was paint the whole thing blue then lightly run a sponge roller over the raised centre in white, to create the "highlighted " effect. It didn't work. Although I put no downward pressure on it, the roller covered too wide an area and the sponge "flicked" little dots of white on the blue. Looks like its a couple of scotches and a hopefully steady hand with a fine brush unless anyone has any other ideas!!! regards to all........

Now the work begins!! I was saved at berry by the dull weather in that one side of the new green on the VV for some reason ended up with more of the roller hair on IT than the roller!! Got to do it again. Thank gawd you can only see it in the bright sun . looks like mohair paint. regards......

Hi thank you, I am enjoying reading and learning about the Jennison vans. I have a 17.6 ft Jennison aluminium cladding, as you come in the door it has a beautiful curved shower to the right of the door. All the photos I have seen of interiors the cupboards look quite square. This van has two port hole windows one in shower the other over kitchen. Would you know the possible date? It looks a bit sorry at the minute, but we are giving it time money and love.. Only thanks to a stranger whom we gave the name plates and port windows to, We were going to dismantle and burn, this guy was quite excited about it and gave us a little history of the Jennison.. We offered him the van at the time !. Glad he didn't take it we are enjoying brining it back to life. We also found a name plate on the back we had under some window covering..ya
