Hi Reddo, I am still here lurking in the shadows and jealous of all those that made the pilgrimage to the mount. A bit of news, We took out the award for the best homebuilt teardrop at the National Gathering held at the Hunter Valley over Easter. Will probably go to Lake Munmorah in May or possibly Cobbers event otherwise.

Ken,
Congratulations from me, and congratulations from him too. You do have a very nice homebuilt teardrop and deserved the top award, I bet.
Cobber.

G'day ken Good to hear from you again. Was sorta worried that ya had drifted off. Obviously you have been flying the teardrop flag high . Great news about your win with the TD. The quality of workmanship in your TD is in the "cabinetmaker" category . Where as my workmanshio on the Splinter Hilton falls into the "best carved with Chainsaw category" i will leave you with this thought for today.. "There is 3 spots left on this years east coast tour... Hurry and sign up" . Reddo ..

Hi Reddo,
I spoke to Aussietanker just before Mount Gambier. He is still around and tuning in to the forum to see what is happening, but has had a bit on his plate lately. He hopes to be able to reactivate himself before long.

Back again - Been away to the local camping ground again in Moruya, which i mentioned once before borders the airport, river and a great beach where we can take our dogs. It's the third time we've been there in just over three months totalling a six week stay. I think we'll head out there again after the next lot of school hols for a couple more weeks and before winter sets in -- although noth'in wrong with camp'in in the winter. All this camping is'nt getting bondy no. 2 finished, maybe i'll do some more in the winter -- am also doing a makeover on a large two man kayak to go on roof of the EH which will be the same colour as the van PS Glad to see you all had a great time at the mount , sorry we missed it Kingy A Chinese war plane (so i'm told ) one of a few at Moruya Airport

Kingy, Slightly off topic for this thread........... well, way off topic actually, not even about V Vs... but, At Motorfest this year we got talking to a couple visiting Oz from the UK. They also went on a rally with their caravan club over Easter @ Derbyshire and have emailed a photo of the scene, 14 'vans attended and they say they had "a jolly good time". Temp. was -2 deg.C and the photo was taken from inside their 'van . We have visited G B and seen other examples of how the Brits (well, some of them) are determined to enjoy the outdoors regardless of the weather. I don't know why I'm telling you this, come to think of it just thought it might make you feel warmer on your next camp-out Cobber.
