;D Harriet here again, dont know where the first copy of this went but here goes again. John's just been scanning through Vintage Caravans Memorabilia and he is sure that he has just found his Mum and Dad's old car and van. The car was called Trilby because dad always had a trilby hat on his head. The photo shows them in 1950 at the Robe Caravan Park to look up the photo go to Researching old Caravans on page 4 by franklin 1. The listing is 143.216.21.253/mpcimg/50270/b50156.htm on weekends Trilby would take 10 or more of the local kids to the pictures at the old Roxy Picture theatre on Anzac Highway all stacked in the back under the canvas cover that dad had made. Unfortunately John was only 4years old when that picture was taken and he cant remember the make of the van so if anybody can help it would be great.

Hi harriet, for some reason your link has not copied correctly. The link to your photo is... 143.216.21.253/mpcimg/50270/B50156.htmSounds like the photo has triggered some very happy memories for John. I bet he wishes he could get his hands on that van right now, eh?! Hard to say what the make of van is. That double-cambered roof (ie. bent front to back, and side to side) has been seen on Rowvan, Adventurer, Roadmaster, etc, in our History section. cheers, Al.

Mum and Dad lived at Plympton Sth Aust near the Roadmaster Caravan Factory St Mary's. Thanks for the reply I will try to find some more photos in the family albums and if we ever work out how to photobucket we will put some photos up of our Roadmaster Harriet. Completely computer illiterate
