Also how do I know build year?
Thanks in advance

Hi Cf,
Welcome to the forum. It's great to hear about your 1960's Viscount.
The serial number for Viscounts can be found on the door side arm of the drawbar, and is created out of weld. For a van built after about 1962 it will consist of a letter (A, B, C, D, E, N or V) followed by a series of numbers. If the van was built before 1962 or so, the serial number may just be numbers. If the drawbar has been replaced and you therefore can't find a serial number, then check under the table and in cupboards. If you're lucky the serial number will be written in pencil in one of those places.
If you can tell us the serial number, then either forum member Twocutekelpies or I will be able to tell you the build year of your van by referring to Twocutekelpies' Viscount caravan register. Unlike some other makes, eg Franklin, Viscount didn't code the year into their serial numbers. The numbers are just consecutive numbers.
If you can, it would also be good to post some photos of your van, so that we can confirm the date. Sometimes there were discrepancies between the model and build year and the serial number, but Twocutekelpies is across all that. There are instructions on how to post photos in the 'Forum Guidelines & Helpful Hints' section of the forum, or alternatively you can email the photos to me and I'll post them for you. My email is caravanhistory@gmail.com
