Hi would anyone be able to help me identify this van. I am purchasing this van, to be collected in about 6 weeks. I think it might be a home build but really no idea. it’s a 10ft. Aluminium van. Has been stored in the shed for at least the past 30 years. Looks to be maybe mid 60s. She seems to be in excellent original condition so Any info or ideas would be great. flic.kr/p/2gjHot9flic.kr/p/2gjHxnJflic.kr/p/2gjHoteflic.kr/p/2gjHQaF

G’day Bonzaway,
Another interesting van you’re showing us. This van looks quite well made, but fairly basic.
I reckon you might be right about it having been home made, as indicated by the two different types of cladding used, and the door, which somehow looks a bit out of place and an older style from the rest of the van. But you never know - there were a lot of smaller caravan manufacturers out there in the 60’s, so it’s possible it was built by one of them.
I presume there’s no sign of a serial number, etc, on the drawbar?
In terms of a build date, I think mid 60’s is probably pretty close to the mark. The multi-strand profile cladding on the sides, etc, was introduced in 1964, so that possibly gives you the earliest build date.
By the way, with your photos, when you go to copy the URL for each photo, select the ‘BB Code’ tab in Flickr, then copy and paste the URL which is displayed (starting with ‘[URL=‘ ), and the photo will display in your forum post. Makes it easier for viewers to see the photos.

Thanks Don Ricardo. No serial number or identifying features. She is a very simple sweet little van & will hopefully suit my needs better. Unfortunately the Harris van i bought in December has turned out to be too big for my garden & too large for my Kombi to tow her, So sadly she’s going into storage until I decide what to do.
