Hi there all, I'm at the tail end of our restoration on our 1950s bondwood globetrotter. We've had no luck so far finding 1 replacement window latch for our van. I've had a look at the number suggested sites and shops listed on the forum, but unfortunately the fittings aren't suitable to fit into our aluminium frame (pics attached) as they have a screw fitting head and the frame is curved / sloped at the bottom (we are trying to avoid welding on a plate for us to fix a modern window latch onto the frame). Any advice on where we might find a fitting like this would be great, or if you have an alternate solution for fixing a newer window latch on the frame! Thanks for your help, :-) Zenzi

I'm assuming that the bit on the frame is missing a receiver type of fitting. If so, I saw those latches at Mitre10 recently. Be careful as they come in a couple of configurations.

Thanks for the quick reply, hmmm good point, we have three of the same latches in the van and they all have this exact set up/fitting. I'll have a look if there is a connector fitting at Bunnings that I can screw into the available hole/thread.

Checked at Bunning today but didn't see any there. Check online first,I suggest.
