Advice being sort: The Globetrotter we have had some dints in the front, most of the aluminium seems to have been sprayed with silver paint as have the window frames and finally there is a substantial amount of glue on the aluminum where the windows have been previously boarded up. So would welcome advice on the following: 1. Is there a way dints can be taken out ie is it worth taking to a panel beater? 2. What substance can be used to take silver paint off aluminium and to clean aluminium surface in general? 3. Welcome ideas of how to get glue off aluminium

Hi Hitched, From my limited experience panel beating aluminium is that it stretches very easily.
As you van has been "silvered" you may be better off removing the paint & glue, then filling the dents/holes with filler & repainting. (A sensible colour) When I repaired the hail damage on Vincent I used a product called "GPI Evercote Easy Sand" $42.00, a great easy to use product.
Some members have had success with silicone/glue removal by using an "orange" product from Bunnings, the paint can be removed with a paint stripper.
If you really want to keep the aluminium look to the front , it may be a whole lot simpler to replace the panel?
