There is a great little video clip at www.whitelinetv.com/caravaners-truckies-sharing-parking-bays/ which opens your eyes to the efects of parking in the rest areas with the trucks. Do have a look (also contains a cute little van  which looks familiar???...) And remember to consider the truck who need to use the rest areas by giving them plenty of space as you get out and about this summer. |

Good reminder about the space required by the truckies. Those guys are precision operators - have you seen them backing a semi into a tight driveway? - but they need the space to manoeuvre.
The vintage caravan looks like a Tennyson. I think it's owned by one of the women forum members?

Hi Don, as I work in an industrial estate I sure have, and I do admire how they can get it into some near impossible spots given the space, very impressive indeed....
I know that when I have free camped and shared these type of parking areas I have always tried to park well out of the way to allow them plenty of room. I just hope its none of us vintage vanners ever cause our truckie mates any issues.
