How much air do you need conditioned? ?? It will vary according to how many windows, hatches, etc are open or closed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please tell me you are not putting air into the Clipper. Having said that I bought a small evaporative air conditioner for my Clipper at the Melbourne caravan show a few years ago. I have used it once on a very muggy hot day and it worked ok but my Clipper is only very small. I am not sure how well it would work in a big van. Best thing about it is it sits in its box in a cupboard so it is not seen unless you pull it out and sit it on the table to use it. It was probably a good idea at the time but I doubt if it will ever get used much. My van is well insulated and it does not get too hot, whenever I have been using the van when it is hot I open up some of the windows and hatches during the day to let the van air naturally and it has never been too hot to sleep in at night. Let me know if you want to have a look at the unit I have. Cheers. Leigh.

...just wondering what others are doing for air conditioning and if you have one... G'day Gerrynshaz, I was going to say "We open the windows" (and now I've said it). But on a serious note, have a quiet chat to forum member Don, who also has a Clipper. I think you will find it helpful (without saying too much...). Don Ricardo

We open the windows too, but also use a small inverter to run a box fan off the 12v electrics.

Thanks for the reply everyone. I found a very small refrigerated air con similar to what Don has in his clipper lookin at installing it in the same spot hidden away in a cupboard.

Hi there gerrynshaz and Don Ricardo - could we hear more about this small unit? I have just spent a week down the south coast and besides booking at the snowy mountains next year i am musing on a small air con unit 😯😯. A table based one.
