Hi All. kiwijim here from the Classic Caravan Forum, I've just dropped in to ask all VV Members in W.A. for help in trying to locate a Caravan that I rebuilt and sold around 6-7 years ago, Up until now I had believed this Caravan, ( a 1970 Thomson -T- Gleneagle) had been destroyed in a Bushfire that burnt through the hills near Perth, That was until it was seen in the Midland area last weekend, I would dearly love to find the present owners of this van as I wish to pass on it's interesting history, one thing being, it is believed to be the only one of it's make in Aussie and only one of a couple of hundred left in the world, being made in Scotland , it came to Aussie in the early 80's. I don't wish to buy back this Caravan, if I could just see it once more, it would remind me of the 5 years I spent rebuilding it and the hundreds of hours I spent on it, So if anyone knows of it's present owners, or knows of it's where abouts , I would be very greatful to hear from you, Cheers Kiwijim

Hi Kiwi Jim Have you tried the owners you sold it to,if they have on sold it they would have a contact? One very smart van!!! G'day Mustang, Yes, I've tried that but, the People that I sold the Thomson too, have sold up and moved on, their phone number is now disconnected as well. She was smart alright, 5 years rebuild at a cost of around $20.000 , Sold for about $5500 ( not so smart ) !!! K.J.

Just to give my search a bit of a bump along, here are a few pictures of the interior of the Thomson.... The Thomson had independent suspension with coil springs plus a break system that automatically activated if the Caravan rolled backwards, not bad seeing it was built way back in 1970..... PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR THIS CARAVAN IF TRAVELING IN W.A. Any info please email me.. Cheers all kiwijim
