Ok , looks like we have a scone challenge happening , shall we make it 3.00pm on the Saturday afternoon on the grass area outside the camp kitchen , room for everyone . So bring your scone recipes , picnic blankets and baskets and umbrellas . Might also be a nice afternoon for some Pimms 🍹. I will contact the park and find out about firing up the pizza oven and maybe we can follow up with a pizza cook off for dinner for anyone who doesn't want to go out .
Strugglebrook , could you post this on OTP please, so everyone knows , love a good challenge
Jude and Geoff

Attention Shellharbour participants, there has been a serious challenge made and accepted. Other entries will be invited. Laddies and Gentlemen there will be a scone cook off challenge on Saturday beginning at 3pm at the camp kitchen with tasters to gather around the area. This will be a no holes barred event where enhancements such as jams, cream and copius amounts of alchol can be consumed and also used to sway the judges. At this stage I would like to voluntere as one of the judging panel as I feel that I would do my best to be impartial and have big stomach bones that I feel will be required.
For the brave souls this will lead to a Pizza challenge that will surely test even the great Master Mr Reddo`s powers of consumption.

Hello Mr JD Humble Just a point of clarification, must they be vintage scones and must they be cooked in a vintage oven?? I intend to use my mothers recipe which has never failed me. Kids from the street have been lined up at the door when word goes around the neighbourhood that Mr Koala is cooking his famous scones. Koala (Terania Creek Scone Cooking Champion 1954)

Good afternoon Mr Koala,
I think in the order of a level playing field we should use the park facilies as to not penalise any junior master chefs that would not be familiar with the older gear. Lady Pamela has voiced concern that the facilities would be swamped !! I feel if the Pizza oven could be fired up early it would be a great way of knocking the batches through. Of couse Judge Judy our supreme commander will have to preside over proceedings and liase with the Park Comandant for this to happen.
Best regards , JD Humble.

Ok , all sorted , Judge Judy spoke to the boss at the park today and we are good to go . The pizza oven is usually fired up on a Saturday night , so they said they will just light it a bit earlier for us

I meet the criteria as I can be bribed with alcohol. 🤣😂 Tooley

We went for fish and chips in one of the cafes at Shellharbour yesterday (down the bottom of the main street) and there was a 'flyer' stuck on the door inviting everyone to come and see the vintage caravans on Fri 20th to Sun 22nd. Don't know who arranged the flyer - there was no ownership printed on it.
cheers, Al.

Jude and Geoff Oh wonderous senior judge Jude, As a judge that can be swayed by alcohol, i will, of course, be passing some of my bribes to my senior judge. Is this good enough to be an official judge. Lol Mike

Dear High Court Judge Judy, As Mike is from Canberra you might be wanting to check his eligibility to preside. The High Court as you know is currently sitting checking out the bonafides of the Canberrainians??
I do live just outside Barnaby Joyce`s electorate so I hope this does not impede my chances.
Judge Wanabe, JD Humble.

I'm hoping that the wife and I might be able to get up to Shellharbour to look at some of the vans, especially any Wayfarers that are present. Shellharbour is only a short trip from home.
If you are looking for a really good place for a meal, might I suggest the Fishermans Club at Geroa, not far from Shellharbour and really great food and a great view overlooking the beach

This years Shellharbour had the lot , wind, rain , wind , sunshine and a bit more wind .
The scone challenge was lots of fun and a great way to get everyone together , thanks to our judges Mike and Johnny , must have been tough sampling 10 batches of scones , and a huge thanks to Mr Strugglebrook for being chief cook and paddle operator for the afternoon. It was great to see everyone getting involved and joining in .
The managers of the park Mark and Julie supplied us with sausages bread rolls and all the trimmings for our dinner after the scone challenge, many thanks to them from us all .
Luckily Reddo didn't need his ark to bail us all out , as the threatened rain only lasted one day , Monday and Tuesday were spectacular days with lots of sunshine and some great displays from the whales.
Everyone has rebooked for next year , plus we have held another 6 sites for anyone else who would like to join us .
