Florence & Bert’s next big adventure! It’s on again! We had a huge variety of around 70 vintage vans at Maldon / Baringhup this year and we would love to do it again next year, this time at Bridgewater, venue change but in the same area. Bridgewater is on the Loddon River about half an hour from Maldon and also half an hour from Bendigo. Inglewood is 10 minutes away and it’s a cute little town full of vintage shops. The Maldon antiques and collectables fair is the same weekend. We will have a BYO BBQ on the grassy river frontage Friday evening. Saturday feel free to explore the surrounding towns or stay put at the caravan park and check out all the vintage vans. Saturday evening get together for dinner at the pub just up the road (to be confirmed) followed by a trivia night extravaganza! This will consist of general knowledge questions, of course a few caravan ones and some audio visual questions too. Prizes to be won and it’s guaranteed to be entertaining! (less energy required than a car rally) About the caravan park:
86 large powered sites on lush green grass $27 per night (2 people $5 per extra person) Only one van per site permitted. Right on the Loddon River Unpowered sites are tent only Brand new facilities including camp kitchen, swimming pool, jumping pillow, BBQ areas, access to boat ramp and pet friendly. Check in from 11am and check out strictly 10am www.bridgewaterpubliccaravanpark.com.auBook early for the best sites with river frontage. To book in please call Alison on 0419 429 586. I will allocate you a site and you will then need to ring the caravan park providing your site number and pay a deposit. This way I can place you near friends if requested and keep track of who’s coming along. Bookings after 1st November cannot be guaranteed. We hope all of you who came along this year can make it again next year too. Alison and Marcus

Early days but numbers are growing already. Bert is always excited about a weekend away with Flo. Trivia night will be alot of laughs. Could do a shorter and less taxing car Rally if people are interested - drop Bert a line if you are ( I'll get in trouble for suggesting that! ) For the more adventurous ...... there is even skydiving just down the road. Please spread the word - we would love to fill the whole park

Bridgewater February 2017 We have reserved a number of sites but after 1 Nov. we can't guarantee a space. We anticipate there will be late booking options ... But do you want to take that risk. There will be trivia at the pub and rock and roll on Sat night. The same week end as last year so Maldon Collectable fair is on and Inglewood is just down the road with lots of secondhand shopping. There will be prizes - best displayed van, best van owners in vintage costumes, oldest van, quirkiest van and many more. We had over 70 vans at Baringhup ( Maldon ) last Feb and we are hoping to do one better this year. But the most sought after prize will be the reintroduction of the " Australian National Caravan Parking Competition" Check out the past winners on Facebook by googling " petrolicious caravan" and click on the first search result - watch the video of the vintage car with caravan .. Have you got the nerve , speed and accuracy to take home this prestigious award? How to book: Ring Alison on 0419 429 586 and she will give you a site number - the ring the caravan park and pay your deposit - you are there! www.bridgewaterpubliccaravanpark.com.au/bookings/

Thanks for joining us Little Lucy ! A big trip and it will be great to see you. Now 60+ bookings but the Park is still holding some spots until late Jan so it's not too late to book in. Tell your friends and spread the word. We are suggesting you contact the caravan park direct now to make that booking. Veronica at the park will organise you - she is a gem.

We were at Bridgey today just finalising the arrangements and YES, there are still sites available - ring Veronica on 03 5437 3086 - there have been some changes - very excited we have an Italian Food van on site in addition to Betty and Ruby's Coffee van, trivia on site rather at the pub but it promises to be a great night by the river. Our SA friends and NSW friends are gearing up as is our special guest from across the 'ditch' - nice to have an ANZUS rep. Unfortunately OH&S and road rules, Council rules etc etc etc. preclude the backing competition ( I know yo will be able to relate to Council concerns Frances of Quennscliffe !!) but we will look forward to great weather by the river and your company - which is always great.

Flocks of corellas (Long-billed and Little) serenaded the vintage caravan contingent this weekend at Bridgewater Caravan Park, a sight and a sound to behold. It was also great seeing so many beautiful vintage vans in such an idyllic setting. A big thanks to the organisers. Attachment Deleted Attachment Deleted
