Most Tasmanian politicians would not have covered the state like you have.

G'day Brent, Yes we did cover a lot of Tassie in our seven weeks. Still have more pics to come. Amazing that we took a pic of your old home in Smithton would have been a nice part of Tassie to live. Cheers Bob and Jacqui.

Hi Bob&Jacqui. You folk certainly took in a lot of scenery & places. When i visited Salamanca i traipsed up & down the street looking for some place not too crowded for a meal.Bit hard to find one as its all so popular but ended up at Irish Murphys. Huge meal & beer for $25.No complaints from me.Look forward to your next installment. gordo

I bought one of those sunshine headers at the clearing sale I attended a couple of weeks back. There were three of them and the scrapper bought two with the comment that they'd be crushed by Tuesday. My mate and I couldn't bear the thought...they were in good original condition so $200 later I own one..just got to get it back to my place from Narrandera! Wife doesn't know yet? ,

Having just made a slightly faster (15 days) circumnavigation of this lovely state, I can only concur with you DR. Nationals or not, me and my Hunter Minor are heading back down there regardless, in the not too distant future. Ray

Arrived in Melbourne just before Easter. Said our good byes to Case and Louise as they headed home and we headed north. First stop was Holbrook. Then onto the Blue Mountains for a few days. Checked out this little dog on the way. Next stop Yass with a day trip to Canberra. The War Memorial. Decided to free camp at the Coopernook Hotel for the last night before we arrived at the Nationals and had our first major mechanical mishap. Steve snapped an axle while reversing into the site.Very lucky it didn’t happen on the highway. Off to Taree for repairs. It was all fixed the next day and Steve and Vi made it to the Nationals on the Friday. Interesting old servo now off the main highway. We arrived at the Nationals Friday morning for a week enjoying great company and camaraderie of all the forum members who attended. As always the Nationals is a fantastic event. Thanks to everyone who helped put it all together. Cheers Bob and Jacqui.

Re "Johns River Service Station" We spoke to a coffee shop owner there & they were suggesting this old section of highway was going to be promoted similar to Route 66 in the US. Should make for an interesting drive with the Vintage.
