Hi there vintage van lovers. I've finally decided it's time to restore our 1963 Baravan. Does anyone have any photos of the original, both external and internal design to give me some handy hints as to how to move forward.

Hi Pindari,
Great to hear about your Baravan and your plans to restore it.
Are you on Facebook? The reason I ask is that, apart from the link for this forum Shesgotthelook gave you, another place to get info is a Facebook page on Baravan Caravans set up by another Baravan owner. The full name of the page is 'Caravans Baravan and vintage sales and posts Australia wide', There a number of photos of Baravans there, and a member of the group has posted a number of original sales brochures. Hopefully they will provide you with some of the info you are looking for.
Hopefully also you'll post some photos of your van and the restoration process here on the forum? Most of the people on the forum like to see photos of other people's vans and we all learn things by seeing pics of restoration as it happens. There is information about how to post photos via an online photo storage website such as Photobucket in the 'Forum Guidelines & Helpful Hints' section of the forum.
Best of luck with the resto.

Hi there welcome to Vintage Caravans, yes some photos would be great. This is our van that we are doing up, it's a slow process. Got the 12V lighting sorted now. I need to take some more current pictures where are you located?

Hi Don Ricardo. Thanks heaps for the Facebook Baravan link. As soon as I can work out how to post my photos, as well as actually navigate the forum properly I will be happy to post a few shots.

Yes I have read the post. Unfortunately I haven't found anything on the 1964 model. With luck and help from this forum I'm sure eventually someone will have some info for me.

Hi Pindari They are correct Campbell lights for that era & may have been what was fitted originally as the van came with the two brake lights fitted, but I had to scour the vintage swap meets to find more bases for the indicators. The lenses you can get new re-manufactured one's so they look really smart.

Name on fb is Miki Glisenti Hi Mikiglisenti, The Baravan group on FB is called 'Vintage Caravans Baravans Australia wide sales and finds'. I can't link you to it, because you are not a member of the group, and we aren't FB 'friends'. But you should be able to find it. It's a public group. Don Ricardo
