For those who have been around VV.com or OTP for more than a few years, some sad news. An early participator on this site, Bob passed away on Wednesday after a short illness. Bob could talk the leg off an iron pot, and possessed the most extensive collection of everything (especially old VV mags!! and a very significant collection of bushranger memorabilia and artifacts) I have ever seen. He was a genuine lovely bloke and a mine of information. I am very saddenned at his passing. Jenno

G'day Jenno, Thank you for passing on that very sad news. As you indicated Bob was a mine of information and was not reluctant to pass it on. He had contacts and knew people in many areas associated with old cars, especially military vehicles, old caravans, old just about anything. He recently put a friend of his from the Land Rover Club and myself in touch with each other regarding an old caravan at Menangle steam museum, that was Bob, if his friend had a caravan out at Timbucktu he wanted to move on Bob would have known somebody out there. I have heard his funeral won't be held for some time yet in order to allow relatives to return from overseas. A short notice, and obituary, can be seen on the Land Rover Clubs site Cobber.
