This 5th wheeler is sitting in a yard here in FNQ. I have not seen anything like it before. Rear door opens into a kitchen/lounge, through a hall containing a toilet/bathroom to a bedroom at the front. Runs on small dual truck wheels. No doubt it would have been luxurious in its day. Only had a quick look at it but it looks like a Carapark to me. Bruce

Hi Brucenan, What an amazing van Don't think it's a Carapark, looks older. Could be one of those Ansett or Athol Hedges vans, maybe built for a circus or traveller. Cheers hughdeani

Hey Folks, This is my van. I think it is a Carapark, as it has the same stance at the back as the Caraparks. It also had vertical bumper bars made of aluminium which followed the back rear corners. I've removed them before someone else does!! I think it had a set of dog wheels on the front coupled to a towing arm, but not sure. Anecdotal evidence from the previous owner was that he bought it from an ex shearer, who used it whilst touring the country shearing sheep. It had South Australian number plates on it (RGX -073) but all I could get from the SA motor registry was that those plate numbers were issued between 1967 and 1974. My circumstances have changed since I acquired it, so it is for sale.
