If anyone has a Carapark 'Hunter', then they might like this ad from May of 1953, extolling "Moonlight in the Tropics"

An interesting anomaly with that Ad, worthy of further investigation Mr Don Ricardo!!!! The van is advertised as a Carapark Hunter, while the contact company is still Caravan Park Ltd. Why is it so, and what year did Caravan Park Ltd actually become Carapark? ? Why are both names mentioned in the one ad? Why is it so? ??

Hi MIkeoz22 and Roehm,
Great advert, Mikeoz22. Thanks for posting it.
Roehm, Caravan Park Ltd changed its name to Carapark Productions Ltd on 27 May 1954 as part of a company restructure (one of many!). However it had started using 'Carapark' as the brandname for its caravans before that as you know. On the information we have currently - some of which you have contributed - the name Carapark seems to have been introduced around 1949 or 1950. Before that it seems that Caravan Park caravans were just known by their model name - Superb, Hunter, Twolite, etc.
So, to answer your question, the reason both names are mentioned in the advert is because up until May 1954 Carapark caravans were produced by Caravan Park Ltd, and after that they were built by Carapark Productions Ltd and sold by Carapark Pty Ltd, the latter being a subsidiary of the former!
